December 28, 2012 Odnokrylov Vladimir 60

Today we will test another gaming mouse from the Bloody line from the Taiwanese company A4Tech, which specializes in the production of computer manipulators. The Bloody Gun3 V7 model, like other mice in the series, supports three shooting modes in games and has a hermetically sealed sensor that is reliably protected from dust. About what this gaming "rodent" is capable of, read in our review.

Testing Bloody Gun3 V7

The operating modes of the mouse are controlled by the complete software, during the installation of which you need to select the model of the manipulator.

Selecting Bloody Gun3 V7 in software installation

We reviewed the capabilities of the "rodent" control panel in our review, so we just recall that only two mouse modes are completely free.

Choosing the active core of Bloody Gun3 V7

You will have to pay extra for features such as support for creating, saving and loading macros into memory, suppressing recoil and adjusting shooting accuracy, and the unlock costs $20 at the time of testing. Of course, everyone determines the need for such functionality for himself - this is nothing more than an additional "tasty" to a good device.

Bloody Gun3 V7 Mode Change Buttons

The build quality of this model is good, the clicks of the keys are very clear, and the responsiveness of both the buttons and the LED sensor is on top.

Bloody Gun3 V7 in hand

We also note a very long wire - 180 cm will be enough, wherever the system unit is located.

Wire Bloody Gun3 V7

In general, the device is made soundly, and even out of the box, without any programs, it may well please the owner. And if you preconfigure the mouse in the control panel, then all settings will work on another PC. After all, the peculiarity of this series lies precisely in the presence of an internal memory of 160 KB for such a case.

Bloody Gun3 V7 Summary

Price for Bloody Gun3 V7 amounted to about 1000 rubles in retail, and it cannot be said that this is a lot for a good optical mouse with a high-resolution sensor, and subjectively, the accuracy of the sensor is not inferior to laser mice of the medium-initial range. Additional buttons allow you to expand the functionality through scripts, but the fly in the ointment in this barrel of honey is the fee for advanced functionality in the form of a macro editor and a recoil and scatter compensator. It cannot be said that there is an urgent vital necessity in acquiring a third mouse mode, but it is able to make life easier, and here everyone decides for himself.

Pros of Bloody Gun3 V7:

  • Precise sensor.
  • Inner memory mice.
  • Good workmanship.
  • Anatomical shape.
  • Nice set.

Cons of Bloody Gun3 V7:

  • No significant ones were found.

Guys. A4 is a cheap company for you, it’s not logic or microsoft there, they scroll (A4) mechanically and, with intensive use, flies in a month (in tanks, for example). But this is solved, disassemble, drop alcohol into the scroll fur, twist it to dry and drop silicone grease, it will help for a long time, believe me. And most importantly, what a4 lured everyone to is the scripts I use all the time. But right now they are trying to make money for it.

I agree with the positives. class="smiles"> The fattest minus is the weight of the mouse. After a light logitech, the feeling that you are crawling on a rug with a stone is wildly uncomfortable and you can’t even aim at bots with high speed and accuracy, something from this has to be excluded. Perhaps this is the fault of my habits, but for me this is a real stone. I spent one and a half pieces not on a mouse, but on experience in choosing mice and understanding the importance of their weight. class="smiles">

You can disassemble and unscrew the weight inside.

Guys, is it possible to program v7 shtob for example, every 5 seconds she herself pressed the button? class="smiles">

    08/05/2013 at 23:24

good mouse! beautiful! but not one spoon of tar - a small spoon: the little finger scrapes on the carpet, does not find a place; the other is bigger (more like a cart of organic fertilizer) - after 7 months of operation, the scroll wheel began to work abruptly and not always in the direction that you turn. infuriates! I'll run out of nerves - I'll see what's inside her, or I'll test her at 3000 G on the floor! but beautiful, bitch!

Started thinking about buying a new rodent after buying a gaming keyboard. It replaced the A4Tech X-710FS, which has served for more than 3 years and only let down a chronic disease of all the mice of this company, namely glitches of the wheel, which was treated by disassembling and cleaning it. But I wanted something new...

As accustomed to a symmetrical mouse, I was afraid to take the V7 model, at first I wanted to take the V5, besides, having read that they differ only in cases, I went to the Khabarovsk computer store, with the intention of taking the V5. He asked to see V5, looked, felt ... and decided to feel V7 at the same time, the devil bribed her with her shape and thinking "I'll get used to it" took it.

PLEASE LET'S START!!!

The mouse is sold in red and black packaging, and to be honest, the first impression of it as a product is much more expensive than its actual cost.

The front side shows the mouse itself, the logo of the series and its name in its loudest form.

The back side shows the main functions and chips of this mouse.

The front of the box is held on with Velcro and opening it you can see a rodent and a recommendation on how to increase the sensitivity of the mouse.

The scope of delivery is (in my case):
Actually the mouse itself.
Cloth for cleaning from dirt.
Logo stickers.
A set of documentation including the Russian language.
Warranty card.
Business card with the address for downloading the software.
The CD with the software is not included, instead it comes with a business card with a page for downloading the latest version of the software.

The mouse itself is completely black, the upper part with a soft-touch coating, at first glance it is quite “thick” and pleasant to the touch, but time will tell, the sidewall is made of glossy plastic, and in places where the thumb and little finger should lie, the plastic is rough, it’s not clear however, how the little finger should bend to get to its site, it seems to hint with its shape that it should be almost parallel to the table, but with its tip it stands quite securely on it)), otherwise the mouse in my small hand lies well. Of the buttons, in addition to the standard buttons, there are three new ones 1, N, 3, the button of the hard click has disappeared, and also on the left side of the back / forward buttons that can be reassigned, all buttons can be reassigned. The wheel glows around the edges and when you switch these newest buttons, it changes color 1-red, N-green, 3-yellow (or orange). At the back is the Bloody logo, which fades in and out very smoothly.

In the lower part there are rather large legs, a sticker showing that the sensor eye is closed from dust, the current characteristics and the name of the mouse are the same as on the box. The cable is encased in a black-red braid, flexible enough, in general, does not interfere in any way.

Of the comments, purely subjective, I would note the too sensitive right and left buttons, sometimes they are pressed under the weight of the fingers. Otherwise, the quality is on top, the sensitivity of both the key and the sensor is very good, there are almost no fingerprints on the coating, and a cloth is included for cleaning.

Perhaps I will finish on this, this is my first mini review, in it I did not touch on the software, and most likely a lot of little things. I welcome criticism and praise (if any)

Part of the gg audience interested in gaming accessories probably remembers the Bloody Gun3 V5 A4Tech combat mouse. This time we got her older sister Bloody Gun3 V7 A4Tech. In fact, it differs only in shape, and everything else, including technical specifications, is the same for all devices in the series. This also applies to "legalized cheats" for shooters, that is, the ability to fine-tune weapons using proprietary software, for example, to continuously fire with strafe, correction and suppression of recoil or firing in bursts of three shots. You can read about all this in the Bloody Gun3 V5 A4Tech review, but here we will focus on the usability of the mouse and its shape.

Characteristics

Do you like "anatomically shaped" mice? Or asymmetrical, if simple? Many gamers, I have no doubt, will answer this question in the affirmative. Frankly, I, who was used to manipulating the “rodent” with the help of the left limb, was a little out of hand (sorry for the pun) to test the Bloody Gun3 V7 to the marrow of the bone designed for right-handers. Nevertheless, reviewing a wide variety of devices, I got used to this kind of difficulties: adaptability to unusual gadgets has increased significantly, and, in addition, in fairness, I attracted a person to comment, not just a right-handed person, but a right-handed gamer. He dispelled my doubts: the mouse lies perfectly in his right hand, and obeys her in an almost perfect way. The only drawback - two additional buttons on the left side of the mouse, well, it's very easy to press by accident, especially out of habit.

The mouse is large, designed mostly for a man's hand. This is logical, the vast majority of gamers belong to the strong half of humanity, but perhaps the younger generation of shooter fans will experience some inconvenience associated with a high back and a fair width of the device.

Bloody Gun3 V7 A4Tech has a 180 cm tail with a fabric braid. The weight of the mouse is average, the weights regulating the mass are not provided either by the design or the kit. But in the box there was a disk with drivers and proprietary software Bloody2 (again I refer to the review of Bloody Gun3 V5 A4Tech), additional legs for greater stability of the mouse, a silky cloth for wiping, a quick start guide and a warranty card. And also - two stickers with a bloodied right hand. The one that is the symbol of the series and flashes with an unkind light on the back of the device covered with Soft Touch-plastic.

Above, under the wheel (as usual in the series - large and convenient) there are three buttons that regulate the shooting modes (by default - single, double, triple shots). On the left side, covered with a simple rough plastic with serifs, as mentioned above, there are two customizable keys (by default - scrolling pages down and up). The right side is varnished, I don't know why. It would be better if the sidewalls were paved with a rubber coating. Perhaps, the material of the edges, along with the paid third core of the software (which expands the possibilities of shooting in games) are the most serious drawbacks of this inexpensive and effective gaming rodent for a person who is used to using the mouse with his right hand. And so - a well-functioning, highly sensitive, finely tuned game pad.

One of the main conditions for a comfortable gaming process is high-performance, high-quality and properly configured equipment. It also includes such a gaming mouse as the Bloody v7 with increased functionality compared to conventional manipulators. However, to use all its capabilities, the standard software. Program functions are available only when downloading a special driver. And our online resource will help you find the right software for Bloody v7, download the program for free and get a lot of advantages in games and office applications.

Key Features

To features new version The gaming mouse from the Bloody series of the famous Chinese electronics manufacturer A4Tech includes the presence of three control configurations at once. Conventionally, they are called cores (Core) and are used for various tasks. Although each has a special set of features aimed at improving the gameplay itself.

The configuration features are as follows:

  • When configuring the Core 1 software package, which is designed for both games and multimedia applications, and for office suites MS Office type. This configuration allows, with the right software, to customize the functions of the scroll wheel and buttons.
  • Core 2 is designed for shooter games and allows you to use the UltraGun3 function, in which each of the buttons "1", "3" and "N" is set to its own firing mode and the corresponding backlight.
  • The Core 3 configuration is designed for maximum immersion in the game. With its help, you can not only shoot, but also feel the recoil, and also create, load and edit macros.

A feature of the third option is the need for payment. For $20, the user gets the opportunity to activate additional features for work and play. Users can also purchase a mouse with a Core 3 “core” already connected. However, regardless of the number of configurations available, a mouse user cannot do without the right software for it.

Peculiarities

The list of advantages from downloading and installing the driver for the manipulator includes:

  • the ability to use most of the features of Bloody v7, even if the original software (which comes with the mouse) has been lost or damaged;
  • free download and no problems in the form of viruses and other malware that can damage the operating system;
  • constant version updates, so that the downloaded driver does not require updating.

The advantages of buying the manipulator itself include spectacular design, high functionality and stable operation. The optical sensor of the model ensures stable operation of the mouse on any surface. And among the shortcomings of Bloody v7, only its high cost and the presence of paid functionality can be noted.

Download

Cons of software for computer mouse no - but only in cases where it is downloaded from a suitable site. Using third-party utilities to download the program may violate Windows work and slow down your computer. Our online resource guarantees the performance of all drivers and the absence of problems in the operation of the components for which they are intended.

Our laboratory has tested a new product from A4Tech - the flagship model of the Bloody series gaming mouse.

The Bloody V7 comes in a colorfully designed cardboard box. The front wall of the box opens easily like a book cover, so that a potential buyer can see the mouse enclosed in thin transparent plastic and even try on its body to his hand without violating the integrity of the package.

In addition to the manipulator, the package includes: a special cleaning cloth, three sets of spare sliding pads on a self-adhesive basis, a pair of stickers with the Bloody series logo, a warranty card and a CD with proprietary software.

First of all, you should pay attention to one of the features of the Bloody V7 model - the possibility of a paid upgrade. For $20, the owner of the manipulator can activate an advanced control configuration (Core 3), which allows you to use macros and a number of additional game functions. However, you can purchase a manipulator with the Core 3 mode already activated - this is the option that was provided for testing.

Design

The Bloody V7 mouse is made in an asymmetric case designed for right-handers. Its size will fit the owners of large palms. The eye immediately clings to the corners and chopped shapes, which give the manipulator a brutal look, fully consistent with the name of the series. It is gratifying that this does not come at the expense of ergonomics. On the left side of the case there is a notch with a support platform for the thumb. Several small indentations are made on the surface of the notch for more reliable contact with the hand. On the right side of the case there is a protrusion for the ring finger, and below there is a notch for the little finger. Thanks to this, the mouse will be comfortable whether you prefer to operate with a pair of main keys and a two-finger or three-finger scroll wheel.

View of the mouse from the top panel

The top panel and planes of a pair of main buttons are made of dark, soft-touch plastic with a matte finish. Between the panels of the main keys is a wedge-shaped insert made of black glossy plastic, on which there are three buttons for selecting the firing mode (labeled as "1", "N" and "3"), as well as a scroll wheel. The chained V-shaped buttons are made of dark plastic with a glossy finish. The wheel is made of a matte translucent material and when the mouse is connected to the PC, it is illuminated from the inside. In the center, the outer surface of the wheel is edged with a rubber pad with V-shaped embossed protrusions, which ensures reliable contact with the finger. On the left side of the case, above the thumb hole, there are two additional buttons.

Notch with thumb rest
and two additional buttons on the left side of the case

For unhindered and smooth movement on the working surface on the lower plane of the mouse body, there are four wide Teflon-coated pads, each of which has an original shape.

Scroll wheel and 1, N, and 3 buttons

The mouse is connected to the computer via USB. The cable, wrapped in a red and black woven braid, is attached to the mouse body under the inner edge of the left button at a height of approximately 7 mm from the supporting surface. The cable length is 1.8 m - this is enough to reach the connectors system block, even if it is installed under the table. Velcro tape with the Bloody series logo allows you to neatly collect excess cable. The body of the connector with the embossed Bloody series logo is made of red plastic.

Attaching the cable to the mouse body

Separately, it is worth talking about the optical sensor with Holeless Engine technology installed in this model. As with the V-Track sensors that A4Tech began introducing into its manipulators a couple of years ago, a vertically directed beam with a high luminous flux is used to illuminate the work surface. This design provides high accuracy (the resolution of the Bloody V7 sensor declared by the manufacturer is 3200 cpi) and stable operation of the manipulator on a variety of surfaces - both smooth and uneven. A distinctive feature of Holeless Engine technology is a hermetic design. A small (diameter slightly more than 3 mm) round hole through which the beam passes is completely covered by an external lens. This prevents dust and dirt from entering the mouse body. And in case of contamination of the outer surface of the lens, it can be cleaned in just one movement.

USB connector housing made of red plastic

Small aperture of the optical sensor
on the lower plane of the housing is hermetically sealed

It's also interesting to note that this mouse is very low power: it only needs 50mA of current to operate, while most other mouses require 100mA.

Velcro tape allows you to neatly collect excess cable

First Impressions

Well, it's time to connect the mouse to the computer. After a short pause, the scroll wheel and the Bloody series logo on the top panel of the manipulator light up. The mouse works without problems with the driver installed operating system default. However, in order to gain access to the configuration of additional functions, you must install the proprietary software from the supplied CD. We will deal with this a little later, but for now we will evaluate the ergonomics and “all-terrain” qualities of the manipulator.

The body of the mouse fits comfortably in your hand. The main keys have a short stroke and a well-chosen pressing force: they can not be called tight, and at the same time, the probability of false positives is practically reduced to zero. The wheel is located in the usual place (under the extreme phalanx of the middle finger), and the rubber edging on its rim provides excellent grip. The ratchet mechanism operates silently and easily, while still providing a distinct tactile feel for each scrolling step. Like most modern mice, the wheel also doubles as an extra button.

Two additional buttons located on the left side of the case are convenient to press with your thumb, and a small gap between them allows you to accurately find the right one by touch. The only thing you can find fault with is the rather loud click that accompanies pressing the main keys.

One of the indisputable advantages of this mouse is unpretentiousness to the material and texture of the working surface. The sensor works stably on the vast majority of "household" surfaces, including polished stone, lacquered wood and painted metal, which are very insidious for optical sensors. No less impressive results were obtained when used on various types of fabrics, including materials with short and long pile. So, if necessary, this mouse can be used without problems on the armrest of a chair, sofa cushion and even on the floor - whether it be parquet, linoleum or carpet. There were not so many surfaces on which the sensor does not work at all - this is a mirror, as well as clean transparent glass and transparent plastic.

Thus, the "all-terrain" qualities of the Bloody V7 can be assessed as "excellent", and not only from the standpoint of gaming, but also universal mice designed for use both at home and in mobile conditions. To be honest, such a result was quite expected, given the fact that the optical sensor, which is equipped with the Bloody V7 model, is an evolutionary development of the well-proven V-Track.

Additional functions

We pass to the most interesting part - the study of additional functions. In order to get access to all the settings of the manipulator, you need to install the proprietary Bloody3 utility from the supplied CD.

One of the features of this model is the ability to select various control configurations, which are called cores in the manufacturer's terminology. There are three in total. The simplest - Core 1 - is designed to work with office and multimedia applications, as well as for real-time strategies and RPG games. In this configuration, the user can independently set the functions of the scroll wheel and each of the buttons of the manipulator.

The Sensivity tab of the Bloody3 utility provides the ability to quickly change the resolution in the range from 100 to 3200 cpi. The user can select up to three settings (including different values for the vertical and horizontal axes), which, after pressing the Apply button, will be saved in the built-in memory of the manipulator. To quickly switch between these settings, you need to double-click on the button "1" of the mouse - in this case, the scroll wheel backlight will flash at a high frequency, and a scale indicating the current value will be displayed on the screen. The choice of the desired value is carried out by rotating the wheel, and confirmation - by pressing the button "1".

Bloody3 utility allows you to program button and scroll wheel functions

Also in the Sensivity tab, you can select the desired bus polling frequency (125, 250, 500 or 1000 Hz) and the response time to pressing the buttons.

In the Core 2 configuration, which is designed for games in the FPS genre, the function becomes available. UltraGun3. Buttons "1", "N" and "3" in this case are used to switch the shooting mode (respectively, one, two and three shots in a row for each click of the left mouse button). The current setting is easily identified by the color of the wheel: when mode "1" is activated, it is highlighted in red, "N" - green, and "3" - yellow.

In the Core 3 configuration, the user has at his disposal a customizable shooting function with recoil compensation ( Headshot), as well as the ability to create, load and edit macros.

Function Headshot allows you to program the rate of fire and the amount of sight shift after each shot. Perhaps some readers will have a question: why is this even necessary? The fact is that in many modern games of the FPS genre, an imitation of the recoil of a firearm is provided: after each shot, the sight moves up. As a result, in order to hit the target with multiple shots, the player has to compensate for this displacement by moving the mouse in the opposite direction, which reduces the speed and accuracy of shooting. Function Headshot allows you to compensate for virtual recoil by automatically shifting the sight after each shot by a specified distance. Thus, by selecting the settings for the weapon used, the player can significantly increase the accuracy of fire.

Headshot Function Settings Window

There are two basic modes for weapons with manual reload ( Burst and Strafe) and one for automatic ( machine). In modes Burst and Strafe you can program a cycle of up to five and eight shots, respectively, by setting the intervals between each pair of shots, as well as the amount of vertical and horizontal shift of the sight after each of them. In addition, there is an option to return the sight to its original position at the end of the cycle. Mode machine differs in that the value of the interval between shots is set immediately for the entire cycle.

Mode In game allows you to change the settings of the Headshot function directly during the game. When you double-click on the button selected to call this mode (“N” or “3”), the wheel backlight starts flashing at a high frequency, and a small window appears on the screen. By rotating the wheel, you can change the interval between shots, and with the help of the side buttons, set the required offset along the vertical axis. The input of the changed data is carried out by pressing the button for calling the current mode.

To use the function Headshot, you need to switch the mouse to the Core 3 configuration and associate the inclusion of the desired firing algorithms with the "N" and "3" buttons. For maximum convenience, it is possible to save settings, as well as load ready-made profiles for various games, weapon types and screen resolutions.

Macro editor

As already mentioned, when activating the Core 3 mode, the function of creating, editing and loading macros is available. Relevant tools are available in the tab Oscar macro proprietary utility Bloody3.

It is important to note that the data on the selected settings and modes are stored in the built-in memory of the manipulator. In this way, all changes made by the user (including the functions of the controls and macros) will remain in effect even if you connect the mouse to another computer - regardless of whether the Bloody utility is installed or not.

Conclusion

Let's summarize. The list of advantages of this manipulator includes high build quality, comfortable body shape, spectacular appearance(especially in the twilight loved by many gamers), a durable and long enough cable that does not interfere even with sudden movements. The set of customization features available in the Core 3 configuration is able to satisfy the needs and whims of even the most sophisticated gamers. Separately, it is worth noting the optical sensor, the design of which provides reliable protection against contamination and stable operation of the mouse on most surfaces encountered in everyday life.

With the ability to switch control configurations, this model is easy to adapt to the specifics of the tasks performed and the needs of the owner. And this applies not only to games. Sophisticated ergonomics allow you to comfortably perform quite prosaic tasks like web surfing, working with email and office programs etc.

Thus, A4Tech Bloody V7 is a great option for those who want to purchase a versatile mouse that provides maximum comfort both in dynamic games and in everyday PC work. Since a significant part of the capabilities of this mouse is available only after activating the Core 3 configuration, we strongly recommend purchasing a mouse with this option, especially since the price difference with the basic version is not so great.

Currently, A4Tech is preparing to release the next model of the Bloody series, which will receive the V8 index. One of the distinguishing design features of this manipulator is the Ultra-Sensitive Metal Feet sliding pads made of a metal alloy.

The main disadvantage of the currently widely used Teflon pads is wear. With intensive use, their surface is quickly erased and covered with scratches, due to which friction with the working surface increases and, as a result, the movement of the manipulator becomes more difficult on many surfaces. In addition, as the sliding pads physically wear out and their thickness decreases, the distance between the lower plane of the mouse body and the supporting surface changes - and this can affect the stability and accuracy of the optical sensor.

According to the developers, Ultra-Sensitive Metal Feet metal linings are free from these shortcomings. They have high strength and resistance to mechanical stress, so that even with intensive use, their surface remains smooth for a long time, and the thickness remains unchanged.

Not only future owners of the Bloody V8 will be able to appreciate the merits of the new technology: sets of Ultra-Sensitive Metal Feet in red color for various models of gaming mice will also go on sale. Thus, everyone will be able to independently upgrade their manipulator.
