VseTop - only the best of the Internet. List of the best survival racing games for PC Racing with the most realistic damage

Tell me, sometimes emotions are so boiling inside that you want to take it and smash everything around, blow it up and simply destroy it. Why drive away anger on interior items, splash out negativity on people around you and work colleagues, if for this there are such exciting flash games as Racing in a cool car around the city 3D! Let your feelings be fully released in the new arcade race, where any aggression is the place to be!

Would you like to ride a fast racing car without restraining yourself in speed and not controlling your own actions? Don't limit yourself to anything. Take control of an unstoppable sports car, blowing to shreds all the buildings, the city interior, scattering passers-by and passing cars to the sides. Destroy gas stations by making fantastic explosions during which huge pillars of flame soar into the sky. Break walls, break through buildings, demolish bridges. There are simply no limits for you! You can enjoy the game regardless of whether you have experience in passing racing car simulators. After all, masterful driving is not required to successfully complete the missions. The main thing is to rush through a beautiful online city at your own pleasure, instilling fear in the inhabitants of the metropolis.

There is no limit to coolness

As you may have guessed, in a dynamic racing arcade, the main task is to destroy buildings, cars and surrounding objects in a personal car. To do this, multiple buildings are plotted on the map. Here, all the structures are made in such a way that they can easily be smashed to pieces.

Collect special symbols and coins scattered along the way. The latter will allow you to pump the wheelbarrow to its fullest: put a more powerful engine on it, improve handling, increase speed, tune the body, making the car more resistant to damage. All this will provide an opportunity not to restrain oneself in desires. Upgrading the car will allow you to collide with other drivers at breakneck speed, without thinking about the consequences, enter into sharp turns and drifts, dodge heavy trucks that strive to tear off parts from your car.

Put a nitro system on the car and accelerate to space speeds in a matter of seconds. Collect special icons to replenish the charge of the explosive mixture. This will allow you to always be one step ahead of your rivals.

Take the city apart brick by brick!

Playing free fun and dizzying mayhem on the road is extremely fun. In addition to riding around the city in free mode, you will be able to complete many missions. Some tasks are aimed at the destruction of the metropolis, others will allow you to fully experience what speed is.

During the missions, you can get a lot of new, unique items. Try to collect as many of them as possible, because this will allow you not only to improve your own car without restrictions, but also to get access to new, more powerful, destructive cars.

To achieve success in the story, it is enough to have time to destroy more of the surrounding objects in the allotted time. At the same time, try to be careful. After all, uncontrolled collisions can damage your vehicle. Destroy everything around, but make sure that no flames start pouring out of your car, otherwise the car will explode and the game will be over for you.

Unleash special hardcore abilities

The game opens up a whole lot of special features for the player, which greatly facilitate the passage of even the most difficult tasks. For example, a remote explosion allows you to blow up surrounding buildings from a distance. In this way, you can clear your path in advance and at the same time destroy the building, for the destruction of which they give the most points.

In a casual arcade game, every second counts. If you don't have enough time to successfully complete the mission, collect clock icons. By adding even a few extra moments to your own limit, you can manage to create real chaos on the city streets and cause catastrophic destruction.

Crush everything around

In the game, you will have to use the capabilities of your racing supercar at 100%. In order for the explosion to be massive, and everything around to burn and shine, you need not only to push the passing cars that are trying to overtake you, but also the difference to shreds peacefully passing cars of city residents. Most of them are simply unlucky, because they were at the wrong time and in the wrong place.

The 3D arcade racing simulator will make gamers not only ride around a huge city, but also create more destruction in the required amount. As soon as you drive into an oncoming car, it will instantly shatter into smithereens, which will allow you to enjoy a dizzying explosion.

Particular pleasure during the gameplay cause chases with police cars. Run away from pursuit, destroying cars with flashing lights along the way. Do not let the law enforcement officers relax and breathe. After all, even if you stop for a split second, you are threatened with imprisonment and a long term behind bars.

Unique visual design

In terms of graphics and detail of the surrounding world, the story is absolutely not inferior to the best racing series of computer games. When you first get acquainted with the car simulator, it becomes noticeable that here the developers managed to fully raise the bar of visual design to a new, high-quality level, uncharacteristic for flash games. Moving objects have excellent dynamics, the picture is distinguished by contrast, saturation with a variety of colors and shades, which allows you to get real pleasure from the gameplay.

start the car

Such a set of unique characteristics such as high resolution, high-quality objects, well-developed physics and game mechanics, along with the ability to completely destroy any objects and smooth animation - all this makes Racing in a cool car around the city 3D one of the best representatives in its genre!

In computer racing, above all, this is the time for which you will pass any stage of the competition. But not all car games are a way to fine-tune sports cars. After all, many players would like to upgrade many parts of the car in order, for example, to improve the lap time by 0.3 seconds. Fortunately, there are realistic racing simulators that have a wide range of features that bring us closer to real racing.

Also, we did not include in our review of the best car simulators those games that have not yet been released for free, although video teasers for some new games have already appeared on the network. For example, the game Project CARS, which is still in alpha testing.

Some games, despite their positioning as a car simulator, are not worthy of being on our list, because the quality of the implementation of reality does not meet modern requirements for computer games.

8) Gran Turismo 5

Gran Turismo is a more realistic alternative to the game Forza 4. The implementation of sports tracks is much better than its main console competitor.

7) Grand Prix Legend

It's not just a game where you start playing and get into an accident on the first corner. This is exactly the game in which you will have an accident for the first week at the first turn. When you really learn how to drive a powerful car, you will be able to participate in professional realistic races. This is one of the best racing simulators. Plus, updates have recently been released that not only improved the game engine, but made many experts take a different look at the game, which was first released 14 years ago.

6) Richard Burns Rally

Want a realistic rally simulator? RBR is one of the best. It is noteworthy that this game is not demanding on computer resources and is able to work even on older PCs.

5) F1 Series

It is insanely hard to play this game, but if you gain enough experience, you will be able to appreciate the quality of the engine, with which you can feel the downforce of racing cars combined with real power.

4) Simraceway

The most advanced racing simulation game in the computer world. The game has an online community on the Internet, which consists of a huge number of players.

Race in a straight line for 400 meters. Ariel Atom V8, BMW HP4 Superbike and Citroen DS3 Rallycross, who is faster? Video

3) Live For Speed

To learn how to drive a car in Live For Speed, you need to make a lot of effort. But after the necessary skills are gained, any fan of car simulators will appreciate the idea of the developers. The game has a large selection of cars with powerful engines.

2) rFactor2

The game is currently in beta testing. But it is already clear that the developers managed to bring the graphics and engine closer to reality. Amazingly beautiful and high quality racing game. Plus the most anticipated in the world. The previous version also looks worthy in front of numerous competitors.

24 Hours of Le Mans in black and white

1) iRacing

This simulator is often used by professional racers. The tracks that are in the game are real tracks that have been scanned in high quality with a laser. Incredible realistic car physics. If you seriously want to feel what real racing on powerful cars is like, then iRacing simulator should be the best choice.

There are many car simulators and arcade games, but only a few of them have a good car damage system. You will learn about several such games today (if, which is unlikely, you did not know :). Perhaps... no, most likely, these are one of the best representatives of this group.

A small digression. I have long wanted to write a feature on a similar topic, because I wanted to know about similar games. And then just a new prize system and the appearance of a new video from BeamNG. All this was the reason for writing this article on, by the way, a rather rare topic. Anyway, let's continue...

Paradise City is waiting for you!

The first game on this list is, you probably know, Burnout Paradise. I still remember reading a review of it in a gaming magazine!

At the time of release, the system requirements of Burnout were unattainable for me (I suspect that it was only for me: six months later, my friends were already playing pirates with might and main. The game reached me much later. Now I sometimes play the PS3 license, but on the network) .

For some reason, finding a normal screenshot from Burnout with a broken car is surprisingly difficult...

As for the damage system, it is on top here. Why is the whole gameplay built around it: smash those, get away from these! Even to unlock a new car, you first need to ... catch up and crush it against the nearest pillar, preferably a concrete one. And to survive in multiplayer, so it's generally a feat! I think it's clear what kind of atmosphere reigns here. Oh yes, instead of a garage, there is a dump where new cars end up ... however, they are broken (see the reason a couple of lines above). Gas stations are scattered around the city (only instead of gasoline they distribute nitro to everyone in a row) and auto repair shops, which you can see in the current Need For Speed: Most Wanted (you can see the handwriting of Criterion?) Burnout Paradise has almost no cons. Unless, add the police (Cops & Robbers does not count) and let at least a few people into the city (at least the driver :).

Liberty city, free city.

The next representative of the group (we will call it that) does not suffer from desertion and lack of cops. The Grand Theft Auto series never suffered from this, especially the small staff in the police department.

While finding one from GTA IV is easy!

The vehicle damage system in GTA IV has gone very far compared to the previous parts. Here you have bending metal, and wheels literally pressed into the car. One problem: the cars choke like tin cans, but we don’t see torn bumpers and accordion hoods. However, there is still a heated debate about where the cars beat better, in Burnout Paradise or in GTA IV.

Do not forget (yes, how can you forget about this!) And about the imminent release of the fifth part, which, most likely, will introduce some innovations into the damage system (alas, there are no normal synonyms for this phrase, so I have to repeat myself :), despite the fact that it will be on the same RAGE (Rockstar Advanced Game Engine). Maybe it's for the best...

Crash Tester Simulator

You can safely forget about everything you read above!

A couple of years ago, while looking for "Virtual Crash Test" (which, in my opinion, was the name of the game I was looking for), I came across a game video in which cars were thrown off a steep mountain. I was struck by such ... well, you understand. After a few more minutes of searching, I found out the name of the treasured game Rigs of Rods!

Here you can meet from more or less real shots ...

As it turned out, this is a simulator of various equipment: in addition to cars, there are ships, planes and helicopters. I think it’s clear what fun is possible here while playing online (it’s a pity that you can’t create your own server, for example, for playing on a local network, and all official servers are located abroad).

To the completely unrealistic!

Slowly but surely, we are approaching the most important thing - the dismantling of cars. And they are notably "swinging around" here! In addition, tire simulation is perfectly implemented here (tire pieces, by the way, also fly off). Don't be discouraged if you don't see all this on your first launch. Most of the cars that are in the game right after download (RoR is free, so download to your health!), are made by amateurs. Consequently, their detailing is, to put it mildly, amateurish. Cars of the Gavril brand, which are invented, as, in fact, made by the developers, fight most realistically.

And now, the very video that prompted me to write this blog

New video from BeamNG. Cars are still descending from the mountains ... But already on a new engine!
This is where we come to an end! It is also worth mentioning the games that, for certain reasons, were not included in the article, but which are also worth playing for connoisseurs of beautiful accidents: Carmageddon 2: Carpocalypse Now, Flatout 2, GRID and DiRT series. Play only the best!

What Russian gamer doesn't like fast driving? Racing simulators have gained wide popularity due to the crazy dose of adrenaline and drive that they give the players. Who among us did not want to try on the laurels of Schumacher at least once in a lifetime?

Especially for fans of racing simulators, we have compiled a rating of the most realistic games of the genre for PC. Here we go! Just don't forget to fasten your seat belts.

10. Dirt Rally

Our rating opens the fifth part of the franchise DiRT from developer Codemasters. In its genre, it is more related to car simulators than to ordinary races. You will need to repair and upgrade your cars with the help of hired mechanics. With each employee you will have individual terms of cooperation, which must be negotiated.

Weather conditions and time of day in Dirt Rally vary. Cars react differently to the road surface, which makes the game more realistic. Dirt Rally will also delight you with the variety of cars available.

The simulator from Codemasters will definitely appeal to fans of the genre and lovers of fast driving.

9. Shift 2

In ninth place on our list is shift 2 from the famous Need for Speed series. In the simulator, it is worth noting the high AI of rivals, a wide selection of cars and tracks. You will also have the opportunity to compete online with other gamers. The graphics of the simulator will also not disappoint even the most picky player.

For those who, for some reason, have not yet had time to try Shift 2, we recommend that you definitely evaluate this masterpiece.

8. Project CARS

Project CARS, of course, is not without flaws and bugs. But the realistic graphics of the car simulator is unique not only for the genre, but for the entire gaming industry as a whole. Screenshots from Project CARS are easily mistaken for photos of real races. Agree that not every development can boast of such graphics, so we simply could not help but include it in the list.

7. Trackmania 2: Canyon

Any fan of the genre will tell you that good track design is an integral part of a quality racing game. If you love to do various tricks while driving, then Trackmania 2: Canyon- what you need. Also for fans of creativity in the simulator there is a track editor, in which you can realize the wildest fantasies.

Gentlemen tricksters and adrenaline junkies, Trackmania 2 is without a doubt just made for you.

6. Forza Horizon 3

Perhaps our rating would have cost without a series Forza Horizon, if not for the third part of the franchise. An important feature of the simulator is the presence of an open world. The gamer is free to decide where he wants to go. It is also impossible not to mention the beautiful, picturesque landscapes of the Australian Outback, which you will see throughout the game.

Forza Horizon 3 is another worthy representative of the genre that fans of car simulators will love.

5 Driver: San Francisco

Although there are cars from different eras in San Francisco, the simulator as a whole is imbued with the spirit of the 70s of the last century. American muscle cars, the roar of engines, the squeal of tires and the roads of San Francisco. And the soundtrack in Driver: SF is perhaps the best of all the simulators in the ranking.

San Francisco, like the rest of the franchise, is beyond praise, so don't delay buying this masterpiece.

4. F1 2016

Series fans F1 I had to wait a long time until the guys from Codemasters released their development of F1 2016. In the new part, the career mode appeared again, which was absent for unclear reasons in the previous part. Now, in case of poor results, you may lose the opportunity to race. It should also be noted that the weather effects in F1 2016 are very realistic.

If you are a fan of Formula 1, then F1 2016 will be a real gift for you.

3. Race: Injection

Races are on the third line of our rating. Race: Injection from developer SimBin (now called Sector3 Studios). In the simulator, 300 cars of 9 different classes will be available to you. Also in Race 07 there is a multiplayer, which is good news.

Race Injection is another great racing game that won't leave you indifferent.

2. Assetto Corsa

Second on our list Assetto Corsa from the Italian developer Kunis Simulazioni. Playing the simulator, you will feel like driving a real car on a real track. The intelligence of the opponents is also quite good, which will make you sweat more than once. The graphics of the game are amazingly photorealistic and allow you to immerse yourself in the game.

If you want to try a modern racing simulator with stunning, beautiful graphics, Assetto Corsa is the place to be.

1.iRacing

Well, here we come to the first line of the rating. This place of honor is iRacing. The simulator literally blurs the line between game and reality. Cars and tracks in iRacing are designed with great detail. Graphics in general are very decent. You can use a gamepad, although it will not give you a significant advantage. The game is a little expensive - 3000 rubles a year, but it's still cheaper than many MMOs.

iRacing is a simulator for those who want to feel what real racing is like.

Hello dear readers. The Gamebizclub team is in touch, and we continue to introduce you to games of different genres and show you those that are worthy of your attention and time. In past ratings, we compared and reviewed and others, and today we’ll talk about the best PC racing games that are ideal for children and adults.

While we were preparing this rating, one interesting detail came to light - several games under the same brand were able to climb into the top - Need for Speed, which means “Need for Speed” in Russian. If you look at the list, you will see as many as four games, and this is no coincidence.

The fact is that this series is considered by many racing fans to be the best for the entire existence of the genre. And it's the only racing game series on PC that has officially become an esports discipline like Dota 2 or Counter-Strike.

Today we will plunge into the world of roaring engines and powerful sports cars, we will drive along famous sports tracks and city streets, we will compete with other racers, we will “take our feet off” from police cars and find out which race is better. Meet our top 15 best races - starting from last place.

From this article you will learn:

15. Forza Horizon 3

Fifteenth place goes to Forza Horizon 3 - a very beautiful game with good physics, panoramic views and an open world. Just imagine - right now you can take an expensive car and go at full speed to conquer the most beautiful places in Australia. You will simply enjoy fast driving, leaving behind cities, towns, mountains and rivers, and at the same time compete with other racers.

  • Year of release: 2016.
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-3820 with a frequency of 3.6 GHz.
  • RAM: 12 GB.
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD R9 290X.
  • Free hard disk space: 55 GB.

Forza Horizon 3 is a full open world racing game. According to the plot, you act as the organizer of a major and prestigious racing festival, and at the same time its participant. All routine tasks are performed by assistants, and you will conquer the expanses of Australia with your skill, while choosing weather conditions, cars, tires and other little things that will eventually lead to victory.

In network mode, you can compete simultaneously with 12 opponents. And since the world is completely open, racers will be able to compete against you not only on the PC, but also on the Xbox One.

Forza Horizon 3 has many features that make it stand out from other similar games. There is no need to wait for the start of the race - you can clash with someone right on the track and arrange an online race. If you lose, you can change the car or take part in competitions, earn money and improve your car. In extreme cases, buy a buggy and drive across the sands if you are tired of the competition.

Forza Horizon 3 is fun to play alone and with friends. The gameplay and stunning views will give you a lot of unforgettable emotions and impressions. And we awarded the fifteenth place for completely draconian system requirements - for everything to work properly and not freeze, you need 12 GB of RAM and a good video card.

14 Race Driver: GRID

Fourteenth place goes to Race Driver: GRID, a classic racing game where you take on the role of an aspiring pilot. Your main task is to build a career, buy new models with the money you win and win, win, win. The career mode is quite simple: you are immediately brought up to date that the main task is to win, and money, repairs, tuning and everything else is the problem of a mechanic and a manager.

  • Year of release: 2008.
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66 GHz or AMD Athlon X2 3800.
  • RAM: 2 GB.
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 or AMD Radeon X1950 with 512 MB RAM and DirectX 10 support.
  • Free hard disk space: 13 GB.

In Race Driver: GRID you need to try to finish in the top three, trying to take first place and get good fees. With the money received, it will be possible to purchase new car models, on which you can participate in cooler and more advanced races. And if you don’t have enough money to buy a new car, you will be offered to buy a used car - it’s a little cheaper, but it can be a little “killed”, that is, dented and with malfunctions.

The developers (British company Codemasters) did their best and introduced several features, due to which Race Driver: GRID entered our rating. Firstly, there are sponsors here who will definitely appear and place their logos on the car if you win. And secondly, you can organize a team, take allies into it and release them into the race instead of you. Who knows, maybe they'll do better.

We recommend Race Driver: GRID for those who are looking for racing for weak PCs. The game has minimal requirements, good graphics and interesting gameplay components - the opportunity to build a career, get not only moral but also material support from sponsors, choose symbols and hire a team to participate in competitions.

13. Test Drive Unlimited 2

We give the thirteenth place to Test Drive Unlimited 2, an incredibly beautiful and worthy game about racing in Ibiza. When you start the game, it will feel like everything is really happening: the bright sun is gradually fading, then the first stars appear, and then night falls.

  • Year of release: 2011.
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz or AMD Athlon X2 4400+.
  • RAM: 2 GB.
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280 or ATI Radeon HD 4870.
  • Free hard disk space: 14 GB.

In Test Drive Unlimited 2, you will take part in the "Crown of the Sun" competition, replacing the main racer who accidentally broke his leg in several places. In the role of the main character, an ordinary unemployed parking attendant, whose appearance can be created at the very beginning, you will drive around Ibiza, win and lose.

The competitions themselves are quite standard, there is nothing surprising or extraordinary in them. But overview races are simply mesmerizing - hundreds of kilometers of roads, winding routes, panoramic landscapes. You will not notice how the timer in the upper corner counts down more than an hour.

There are a lot of cars in Test Drive Unlimited 2 and they are divided into three classes - racing, SUVs and classic. Check-in conditions can be simulated and choose what you like best: on the plain or off-road, on the coast or in the city, during the day, at night and other conditions.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 is not particularly surprising, but for its stunningly beautiful views and landscapes, the game is in our top. In it, you are guaranteed a lot of pleasant experiences. For example, after an hour of playing, you really want to go to the sea.

12. The Crew

We give twelfth place to The Crew, a very unusual race in which you lead a team of four friends. Everyone has their own story, but all are united by one goal - to win the American Racing Championship. To do this, they create a team and participate in competitions, travel around the US cities - New York, San Francisco, Miami and others. You will complete tasks, see the beautiful landscapes of the United States, be able to arrange an online race with friends and much more. But all these possibilities pale before the technical component.

  • Year of release: 2014.
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 @ 2.5 GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 945 @ 3 GHz.
  • RAM: 8 GB.
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 or AMD Radeon HD 6950.

The Crew seems to be created for those who like to dig deeper into pieces of iron and assemble a racing car. You can literally disassemble and assemble your car piece by piece, install the necessary parts, boost the engine or lighten the design in order to achieve greater speed and controllability. Before each race, you can install equipment suitable for the weather, choose tires, anti-radar and much more, which will make your trip easier and help you get away from the police.

Graphics on the level - everything looks very realistic, cars break down, objects are destroyed. In general, everything is as it should be in real life.

The Crew is in twelfth place for realistic graphics, awesome tuning options and racing car decorations. Go ahead.

11. WRC 7

Eleventh place goes to WRC 7, a dynamic rally racing simulator. The game is available immediately on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while the quality of gameplay on all platforms is almost the same - it feels like in reality he was driving a rally car, and the navigator on the side tells the way and comments on everything that happens.

  • Year of release: 2017.
  • Processor: Intel Core i3 3 GHz or AMD FX 8150 3 GHz.
  • RAM: 8 GB.
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 or AMD Radeon R9 290.
  • Free hard disk space: 19 GB.

The WRC 7 is just a classic rally with a modern twist. You have to go through dozens of races in single player mode, or immerse yourself in online races and fight for the title of winner with other people. As the story progresses, new cars will become available to you, which are needed for admission to steeper stages.

The main features of WRC 7 are realism and beautiful performance. To complete the experience, we recommend connecting a game steering wheel, but even without it everything is just fine: the car flies along the track, damage is felt immediately, all bumps and pits change the trajectory of movement at the moment, so you constantly have to brake with a hand brake. Almost the same as in a real race.

WRC 7 is a relatively new game that has managed to implement the latest trends in image processing. Simply put, the picture on the screen is so beautiful that the landscape outside the car window is distracting and you can crash into a tree. True, sometimes everything becomes unrealistic, especially when the track passes in snowy areas or in the rain. But it's all the little things that pale in front of everything else. Connect the steering wheel, run WRC 7 on a large monitor, and you are guaranteed a great mood.

10. Need for Speed: Underground 2

We give tenth place to Need for Speed: Underground 2, the best street racing game of all time, released over 14 years ago. But despite this, the game is still relevant and very popular - many people are “cut” into it to this day.

  • Year of release: 2004.
  • Processor: Intel Pentium 4 2 GHz or AMD Athlon XP 2000+ 1.6 GHz.
  • RAM: 512 MB.
  • Video card: NVIDIA GeForce 6500 or ATI Radeon 9600.

Need for Speed: Underground 2 is about street racing, drifting, tuning and other tricks that everyone has seen in films like Fast and Furious. You will get into the open world and will be free to drive and explore the night city of Bayview, explore 5 dissimilar districts and chase with the most fearless pilots.

The plot develops around the stubborn and skillful racer Caleb Callan Race. In his role, you must break through from the bottom to become the king of the night streets. In the game, almost all the races are organized by a pretty brunette named Rachel Teller, who accompanies the main character throughout the game. Auto mechanic Tommy is responsible for the amount of horsepower of the car and its aesthetic appearance.

You have to participate in many races, which are globally divided into five types:

  1. Drag Racing - short distances where you compete in speed, using the full power of the forced engine, nitrous oxide, turbocharging and other racing gadgets.
  2. Ring - in these competitions you must complete a certain number of laps.
  3. Drift - this race will require you to have excellent drift control skills.
  4. Street-X is a competition between cars, on a winding track, where you need to earn points on sharp turns.
  5. Professional league - these races are the most difficult. In them you will show maximum driving skills, because here you will have to compete with the best racers.

And if you want to relax from the intense driving, you can compete with simple racing cars right in the city, without any restrictions. There are also hidden races in the game, during the passage of which you can get more rewards compared to the usual ones.

The only negative, in our opinion, is that there are few police who do not prosecute violators. During the races, you will definitely not be disturbed, but when driving around the city, they may well begin to pursue. Plus or minus, you decide, but our opinion is a flaw.

The main feature of Need for Speed: Underground 2 is a cool combination of an interesting story, intense gameplay and amazing options for tuning your car. You can make a real racing car that will literally tear apart rivals on the track ... Up to a certain point.

And a few more words about the graphics - it may seem old to some, but it is not the main advantage. You can still enjoy the fictional city and its sights detailed at that time, appreciate the smearing of landscapes during acceleration, and more.

NFS: Underground 2 is the game of all time. It even held championships and competitions, and this is one of the few races that has become a discipline in eSports. Its captivating atmosphere will drag you out for more than one hour, so we think this kind of game will remain on your computer for a long time, especially since it will run on weak and medium PCs without problems.

9. Track Mania 2

In ninth place in the ranking, we put TrackMania 2 - super extreme racing with sharp turns and difficult tracks. The game has four themed episodes: Canyon, Stadium, Valley and Lagoon. You can try your hand at driving on mountain roads, gorges, islands and off-road. Interest will be added by rivals who need to be overtaken, despite the danger of the track.

  • Year of release: 2011.
  • Processor: with a frequency of 1.5 GHz.
  • RAM: 1 GB.
  • Video card: with 256 MB of memory, supporting DirectX 9.0c.
  • Free hard disk space: 2 GB.

In TrackMania 2 you will fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of complex and dynamic races, take part in races on different tracks, perform stunts in various modes. This version of the game has drift, new maps, as well as multiplayer modes - "Race against time", "Race in a circle", "Stunts", "Cup", "Team" and "Round". As in other games of this genre, your main task is to break records, earn points and medals.

Ninth place in TrackMania 2 - for the ability to create your own roads, unrealistic speed, huge competition on the track in single mode, and even steeper races in the game on the network.

8. DiRT 4

We decided to give the eighth place to DiRT 4 - dynamic rally racing, which you can "cut" for days on end. Everything here is almost like in real off-road racing - flying mud from under the wheels, sharp turns, a navigator mumbling into a microphone and prompting the way.

  • Year of release: 2017.
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-4690 or AMD FX 8320.
  • RAM: 8 GB.
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 or AMD R9 390.

DiRT 4 is a game created in full accordance with the genre of rally racing. In the role of the main racer, you have to go through a huge number of tests with the navigator in the next seat. Winding roads, terrible weather conditions, abysses along the edges of the roads - all this will not only interfere with you, but also affect the operation of the car. Damage to cars is reflected not only visually, with them your car will behave, as befits a crumpled piece of iron.

The whole point of the game is in the feelings and drive that gives, perhaps, one of the most hardcore types of racing - rally. The driver here has to drive the car off-road, dodge rocks or enter the forest, and all this at high speed, and sometimes blindly. Fog, night, dust from under the wheels of rivals, forced to enter the turns, focusing only on the voice of the navigator.

In DiRT 4, you can adjust the difficulty of passing, set the optimal control settings and connect the steering wheel. All this, together with stunning graphics, will truly take you to the race track.

The only thing that, in our opinion, DiRT 4 lacks is the sharpness of the plot. Perhaps the plot is not the main thing here, but for this, as well as for the high system requirements for the PC, we could not give the game higher than 8th place. Go ahead.

7 Driver: San Francisco

Next on our list is Driver: San Francisco, a slightly outdated but still relevant police chase game. And here you will participate not in the role of a hooligan, who is being chased by the police, but in the role of the policeman himself.

  • Year of release: 2011.
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.4 GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 620 @ 2.6 GHz.
  • RAM: 2 GB.
  • Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 430 or ATI Radeon HD 5650 with 1 GB of memory.
  • Free hard disk space: 10 GB.

The plot of the game tells about a police officer named John Tanner, who caught the main villain of San Francisco named Charles Jericho. But as a result of "a sharp plot twist", Jericho was free, and Tanner was in a coma. You will find yourself in the role of Tanner, and, without leaving a coma, you will chase criminals in cars.

Oddly enough, you can't get out of the car. But if the car is broken and cannot drive, you can temporarily "move" into the body of another policeman and control it. You must, without leaving a coma, catch the main villain, helping your partners from the police station with all your "soul". At first, you will explore a small section of San Francisco, but after a while, the whole city will become available to you.

The main feature of Driver: San Francisco is the opportunity to try yourself as a policeman. Add here an interesting plot with lots of dialogues, cool cars and exciting races - you get a very interesting and exciting game. In the appendage there are many soundtracks suitable for a specific moment and good graphics even by today's standards.

6.Split/Second

In sixth place is Split/Second - a game about gladiator fights in powerful cars, where there is no place for losers. The game stands out from the general mass of "just racing" with its unusual gameplay, original idea and no less original execution.

  • Year of release: 2010.
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 3 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 2.4 GHz.
  • RAM: 3 GB.
  • Video card: with 512 MB of memory, supporting DirectX 9.0c.
  • Free hard disk space: 7 GB.

In Split/Second you have to take part in gladiator fights on cars. Using deadly traps and choosing the most correct strategy, you will enter the fight for life. Each section of the track must be passed with maximum concentration, because a sloppy turn or loss of control over the car during a skid will turn your car into a pile of iron.

The plot of the game revolves around a TV show in which, like the movie "Death Race", racers have to fight throughout the season to get the main prize - life and freedom. All competitions take place in a separately constructed city with a variety of traps that participants use to eliminate rivals.

Split/Second is such a Quake from the world of racing. Here you need to know every corner of the map in order to build the most insidious and timely traps for the enemy. Unlike the "classics of the genre", being the first here is not always good, because all the rivals that are behind can easily topple a nearby TV tower or something else onto your hood.

At the very beginning, Split Second looks like a kind of chaos and anarchy, but then it's hard to tear yourself away from the game. Dynamic storyline, original idea and fiery gameplay - for this we award the game sixth place. And let's move on to the top five.

5. Need for Speed: The Run

Opens the top five Need for Speed: The Run - a continuation of the classic Need for Speed genre about the longest multi-day race from San Francisco to New York. But, unlike the previous parts, there is a storyline with action elements - the main character can get out of the car, complete tasks and participate in the development of the plot.

  • Year of release: 2011.
  • Processor: Intel Core i3-540 or AMD Phenom II X4 805.
  • RAM: 4 GB.
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 or ATI Radeon HD 6950.
  • Free hard disk space: 18 GB.

You will find yourself in the main role of a character named Jack. He owed money to the mob and was caught, but escaped and, with the help of his girlfriend Sam, managed to negotiate a long race for $25 million in prize money. Thus began his path to victory and a better life.

Need for Speed: The Run consists of many races in different locations, striking in the change of landscapes. You will have a long race through the known and unknown corners of the states through which the race passes. Getting used to this will be quite difficult, which only adds adrenaline - along the way you will find yourself on sandy roads, in ice or a terrible downpour, you will be pursued by police cars, your car will break down, and indeed a lot of things will happen.

If you lose control and smash the car into the trash, a new feature has been introduced into the game: instead of “respawning”, you can turn on the time rewind. The justification for such an experiment with the gameplay, unfortunately, is not entirely clear - you will just be transported to the beginning of the previous checkpoint. If it was a long time ago, such a return might not be very pleasant.

Need for Speed: The Run is like a white crow among the games of the NFS series. There is a place for intense racing, mesmerizing scenery, an exciting storyline and action in isolation from your car. At first, you pay attention to small flaws in the form of not very comfortable handling and straightforwardness of the game, but then it fades into the background. The main thing is beautiful graphics, dynamic and exciting races, and everything is as it should be. That's why we love NFS.

4. F1 2017

An honorable fourth place goes to F1 2017 - the coolest version of the "Royal Races", available immediately on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. There were many Formula 1 games, but this one is the best race of all that exists at the time of the release of the rating.

  • Year of release: 2017.
  • Processor: Intel Core i5 4690 or AMD FX 8320.
  • RAM: 8 GB.
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD RX 480.
  • Free hard disk space: 40 GB.

F1 2017 is classic Formula 1, nothing more and nothing less. At the beginning of the game, you have to create your character, choose a team, and then enter the track and take your place on the podium. But winning is not so easy - the rivals do not sleep and also rush to the finish line with all their might. Therefore, for better handling and cool sensations, buy yourself a gaming steering wheel and put a large monitor - feel like Lewis Hamilton or Sebastian Vettel.

With each victory you will earn money with which you can buy new cars. On the new F1 car you will be able to participate in more prestigious races, then gradually reach the top league and compete with the most famous and titled pilots.

The main feature of F1 2017 is excellent physics. The behavior of the car is affected by many factors: the type of suspension and rubber, weather, track, precipitation, even air humidity and much more. And the variety of fireballs is breathtaking - each car is unique, with its own advantages and disadvantages.

All this is the magic of Formula 1 - maximum realism and dynamics, powerful cars, a minimum of invented stories. What else do fans of this sport need? Even the network mode, and that is. You can compete with friends or other people, find out who is cooler on the track, and who will overtake everyone here. A must have for all fans of the "Royal Races" and not only. Let's move on to the top three.

3. Need for Speed Rivals

Bronze goes to Need for Speed Rivals - a furious race from the police or violators, depending on which side you look at it from. If you want to drive on smooth roads and long tracks in cool cars, this game is what you need.

  • Year of release: 2013.
  • RAM: 8 GB.
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon HD 7870 with 3 GB of memory.
  • Free hard disk space: 30 GB.

According to the plot, you will find yourself in the role of a street racer or a policeman. Each has advantages and disadvantages, different types of cars, special moves, and more. In the role of a racer, you will compete with other street racers in the city, run away from the police and smash patrol carriages, ram special forces trucks and kick off special agents. And in the role of a police officer, you will pursue violators with all your might, throw spikes on the road, block the track and much more.

Need for Speed Rivals is a racing game with car tuning and an open world. There are many different places on the map with tasks for police and street racers, competitions and races. In the garage, you can hide from the chase and pump your swallow a little. And if you win a lot, you will gradually get new opportunities and become the best guy in the area.

Need for Speed Rivals is a whole new level of racing that has been achieved with the Frostbite 3 engine. The same engine used in Battlefield 3 and newer games shows a very high degree of realism along with detailed graphics and rendering. Therefore, all the cars look very cool, as if they were “pulled out” from the passenger compartment and sent to the track.

Need for Speed Rivals is an open world full of adventure and adrenaline. Once again, we advise you to take the steering wheel and connect a large monitor to enjoy the indescribable sensations in single player and online mode.

2. Project CARS 2

  • Year of release: 2017.
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-6700K @ 4GHz or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X @ 4GHz.
  • RAM: 16 GB.
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 or AMD Radeon RX 480.
  • Free hard disk space: 50 GB.

In Project CARS 2, you will be in the role of a pilot who has signed a contract to participate in sports car racing. At first, you will start competing with other pilots in almost ordinary cars, but then ... Exciting challenges, championships, work with sponsors, sports cars recreated to the smallest detail and exciting tracks await you.

There is almost no plot in the game - Project CARS 2 is just racing, powerful racing cars, breathtaking tracks. And everything looks almost like in real life, and it feels like you actually found yourself behind the wheel of a racing car on the most difficult track. And instead of a plot, you have 182 sports cars of different brands and models, 46 tracks with different weather conditions, stubborn rivals and a fierce confrontation on the track.

The main thing in Project CARS 2 is realistic control, car dynamics and its behavior on the road in different weather conditions. In rain or ice, the car handles worse, corners are also handled differently, damage is visible in collisions and controllability immediately decreases. In general, everything is like in life.

The only drawback is the high requirements for the computer, the game has the best graphics of all that you have seen before. All this realism, dynamics and drawing require a powerful video card and processor, a lot of RAM. But if you have no problems with this, and even a large monitor and even a steering wheel, you will fall in love with this amazing game right after launch. After all, sports cars are really chic.

1. Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012)

The gold of our rating goes to Need for Speed: Most Wanted - the second edition of the original game released in 2012, in a new wrapper and with a bunch of all sorts of chips. Let's say right away that our choice is ambiguous and someone may not understand it - after all, the new part does not have many features for which millions of people around the world literally fell in love with the original game.

  • Year of release: 2012.
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad @ 2.66 GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 @ 3 GHz.
  • RAM: 4 GB.
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 or ATI Radeon HD 6950 with 1 GB of memory.
  • Free hard disk space: 20 GB.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012) is illegal racing (street racing), running away from the police in cool cars, competing with other "night racers". There is practically no plot, no main characters and villains, even the police do not stand out in anything special. But all this is not necessary - you will start the fight for the title of the best street racer in the city, take part in many races, run away from the police and so on. Almost everything is as it should be.

Immediately, we note that there is almost no tuning in the game. If in the original part of the 2005 release it was possible to literally assemble the car and set up literally everything in it, then in this part there are no such opportunities.

You can repair the car and change the coloring by driving into the garage to supply additional parts. But you don’t need to tune anything - each car is already fully charged. So instead of grinding dollars and buying parts and consumables, you can fully focus on racing. Yes, you can not put a cool spoiler and alloy wheels you like. But even without them, your car will look very cool. And if the car gets tired - challenge other racers to a duel, win and their car will go to you.

The basis of the game is not only constant racing, but also competition with the police. And the cops are fierce here: they interfere right in the middle of the race and start ramming, throwing spikes under the wheels and doing all sorts of dirty tricks, while the rivals break away and fly to the finish line. To break away from the chase, they usually use springboards or various obstacles, drive into the garage and repaint the car, but sometimes this cannot be done. And then you will see a magical inscription - "Spent".

Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012) is the true open world that many people love. You can simply drive around the city streets, look at everything properly and take part in random events, complete non-obvious but intriguing tasks, for example, knock down billboards or find hidden cars. And during the race, you can easily turn off the right road and get lost in the streets or out of town - that's really discouraging. And only a GPS navigator will show you how to get back to the track. True, this is unlikely to help - the rivals will go ahead very quickly and you will not be able to catch up with them.

The only thing that still upsets is that this is no longer the game of 2005 that we all loved. Not the "Eron-dong-dong", with an incredibly attractive and exciting atmosphere. It's a pity, if you combine the atmosphere and possibilities of Most Wanted 2005 and the graphics and dynamism of Most Wanted 2012, you would get a masterpiece for all time.

Summing up

We wanted to add more games to the ranking. Someone remembered the epic Carmageddon and FlatOut, someone about the Colin McRae Rally, but the choice was made and, in our opinion, it turned out very well. Note that the top of the best did not include Russian races - we do not have such good games to compete on equal terms with Western ones.

All games are different, and we are sure that you will find one that suits your taste. If in doubt, watch YouTube videos and evaluate the quality of the gameplay, and only then buy the game. The only wish is to find a large monitor and connect the steering wheel so that the realism goes off scale. It's a very cool feeling, looking at a beautiful and powerful car, driving it and feeling all the turns and collisions, living the race and being like a real sports car pilot. Unlike real racing, it's safe and feels much the same.
