Xiaomi wireless headphones. Xiaomi Mi Wireless Headset Bluetooth Headphones Mi Wireless Headphones

Xiaomi Mi sports headphones are light and comfortable, designed for lovers of outdoor activities and sports. Beautiful design and excellent sound characteristics make the wireless headset in demand among domestic consumers.

Improved exterior design

The anatomical design of Bluetooth earphones provides an optimal angle of inclination that matches the human ear. Provides a snug, secure fit and full lossless surround sound. The metal that has undergone multi-level processing is quite durable, resistant to mechanical damage, endowed with a uniform texture, and attractive.

Ear suspension soft, springy. It does not slip or fall out, it independently adjusts to the natural structure of the shell, bends and turns, allowing a person to feel comfortable and confident during classes. Does not cause unpleasant pain and fatigue after long-term wear. Regulated.

The great news for consumers is that the headphones are waterproof. The factor is important when playing sports, as the headset is susceptible to sweat.
The Chinese creators achieved the effect by the technique of nano-spraying and the application of micro-holes using special laser equipment. As a result, the headset looks weightless and is endowed with the qualities of uninterrupted operation in conditions of high humidity.

Bluetooth wireless headphones are durable and easy to clean. The coating increases the protective properties of the device, resistance to the formation of a layer of fat secreted by human sweat glands and other contaminants.
The headset is easy to keep clean by periodically wiping with a damp cloth. The case and wires are covered with an additional layer that protects against UV rays. All materials are safe for health, pleasant to the touch.

High-quality detailed sound reproduction

The wireless earphones are equipped with powerful and sensitive speakers that reproduce clear, detailed sound. The user clearly hears pronounced low, medium, high frequencies, clear vocals, percussive rhythm.

Sound channels, independent of each other, give the effect of all-round acoustics in motion. The structure contains a metal membrane that stabilizes vibrations, thereby reducing the level of noise and sound distortion. The result is perfect sound reproduction with distinct sonic detail on every track.

Additional features

The Mi Sports headset has a built-in microphone (silicon) with MEMS technology, found in smartphones and other current devices. The noise canceling effect removes background hum from conversations or music listening in noisy environments.

The design of bluetooth headphones also provides a volume control button, switching between playing melodies and telephone conversations.
HD playback enhances headset conversations and ensures voice clarity. Bluetooth 4.1 allows you to simultaneously connect multiple gadgets or mobile devices within a radius of 10 meters.

Continuity of operation

A full charge of the battery lasts for 7 hours of continuous listening to music. Do not need frequent recharging. For short-term use (about 1 hour), a quick ten-minute recharge is used. Off - store a charge for more than 10 days.

show in full

If you take Xiaomi Mi Comfort headphones, cut off their wire and insert a Bluetooth module, you get a novelty called Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth Foldable. This is exactly what Xiaomi engineers did. Well, there was actually more to do. Close the hole from the cord, cut out new holes for the buttons. Dig in the battery. But these are all trifles. The main thing is that xiaomist fans should be happy.
I consider myself a half-xiaomist. I like the products of this brand, but my inner little Jew sometimes does not allow me to buy everything in a row with the MI nameplate. Although sometimes he falls asleep and I make orders. First it was the Xiaomi Wired / Wireless Gaming Mouse, and now here are the Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth Foldable headphones, which I will talk about later.
I'll start with specifications:

  • Model: TDLYEJ01JY
  • Impedance: 32 ohm
  • Charging Port: Micro-USB
  • Charging time: 2.5 hours
  • Bluetooth 4.1
  • Bluetooth profiles: HFP/HSP/A2DP/AVRCP
  • 40mm drivers
  • Frequency response: 20Hz-40KHz
  • Signal range: 10m
  • Standby time: 200 hours
  • Play time: 10 hours
  • Dimensions: 199*82*255mm
  • Weight: 235g

Now about the headphones themselves:
Headphones come to the buyer in a large box.

There is nothing inside other than headphones. Even the unfortunate USB cord or case.

Therefore, I immediately show the headphones:

The overall build quality is very pleasing. Everything looks good and sound.
Case material plastic. Matte plastic, which in the photos looks like it is covered with a thick layer of dust. But it doesn't look like that in real life. True, this plastic collects fingerprints very well. And on dark plastic you can see them very well.
The ergonomics of the headphones are comfortable. On the left earpiece below are two buttons responsible for the volume and switching tracks. On the right earpiece, there is also a microphone and a microUSB port on the bottom:

But the power button (it's the call acceptance button, it's also pause / play in the player) is located under the side trim. For the buyer to know about this, there is a sticker with the information:

Well, at least I think that the information on the sticker is about the button. I don't understand hieroglyphs. Although if there is a text in English:

To adjust for different head sizes, there is a retractable sled. Luckily they are metal.

The headband is also made of matte plastic. Inside there is an insert-cushion made of soft, silicone-like material. There is an “MI” logo on top of the headband, and this is exactly what the manufacturer gives + 20-30% to the cost of the product for. An analogue of a core in apple products:

The ear pads are soft and comfortable. Made from wild dermantine leather. The right and left earpieces are marked with the letters L and R:

If necessary, the headphones can be folded.

But where to put them is not clear. The manufacturer did not give any cover. This, in my opinion, is very strange, given the price of these headphones.
As I wrote above, I have no complaints about the build quality, materials and general appearance. Everything is done very well and soundly.
What is inside the headphones can be found in this picture:

Bluetooth V4.1 CSR 8645 chip and 40mm 32ohm dynamic drivers.
I personally do not plan to check the filling yet.
My home laptop and my Xiaomi MI A1 phone serve as the main sound source for the headphones:

Connecting to headphones does not cause any problems. After connecting, you can see that the sound goes through a higher quality AAC codec:

There you can also see the display of the battery level of the headphones. Convenient for monitoring the charge of the headphones.
By the way, about the charge. On average, headphones at 70-80% of the maximum volume last up to 12 hours. At maximum volume up to 9 hours, and if you listen at half the volume, they will last even longer. I left the headphones for 15 hours of music playback at half volume, and when I arrived, the headphones still had 16% charge left. That is, I think that 18-20 hours will calmly hold out. I think that this is more than enough. Charging time is on average 2.5-3 hours. Depends on the charger itself. I mainly have a 5 port charger from Xiaomi for charging. Therefore, the headphones charge relatively quickly.
Well, a little about the sound of the headphones. I don't know how to talk about all sorts of sibilants and dark shades with a hint of vanilla violins. I'll just say. I like headphones. They have a smooth sound without distortion in any direction. Very good detail. The bass is there and it's enough. Of course they are not the fattest, but it's nice to listen to. High frequencies also do not stick out, the music does not try to eat away the brains and dry the ears. Everything is balanced. Lately, I've been listening mainly to modern Russian pop music, a bit of the repertoire of compositions from the Nashe Radio radio station, and a little more tech vocals. All of the above sounds very good in these headphones. The main source of sound, as I said, is my Xiaomi Mi A1 phone with native Google Music player:

I am completely satisfied with the sound and functionality.
Conclusions:
I can recommend headphones for purchase. Despite the fact that at this price they have many competitors, this is still Xiaomi. Item for fans, which is made quite well. Many people will like the sound, it is quite high quality. Materials and workmanship are top notch. The only thing that I would attribute to the minuses is the meager equipment and the MicroUSB port. In 2018, this is no longer the case. Other than that, they're just great headphones. In addition, now you can use the coupon GBCEXMD drop the price to $54.99. A trifle, but nice.

Xiaomi is one of the rare manufacturers that successfully declares itself in almost all areas of electronics. Accessories under this brand have gained no less popularity than smartphones. We have already tested fitness bracelets, external batteries, speakers, fans. Today, the inexpensive Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth Headset is in the spotlight. One of the most inexpensive offers, the difference compared to the youngest Plantronics headset is almost doubled.

It is available both in Russian stores (around 1400 rubles) and Chinese (950 rubles). Taking into account the fact that warranty and service maintenance is still not provided, the meaning of overpaying can only be in the absence of time to wait.

Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth headset review

Equipment

Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth headset comes in a simple and compact box with a transparent lid.

The package includes two replaceable rubber ear tips and a short micro USB cable for charging.

Appearance

The case of Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth headset is made in the form of a cylinder of regular shape. In terms of dimensions, it is comparable to a AAA battery. The weight is light.

The speaker is located in a protruding leg with a rubber ear cushion. There is a small ring for a stable position in the ear, it can also be used to hang the headset during transportation.

There is a small recess in which there is a microphone and an LED indicator. Lights up red or blue depending on the current status.

There is a micro USB connector on one of the sides, it is not covered by a protective cap.

On top is a mechanical button with an icon. It is pressed easily, with the help of it you can answer an incoming call and turn on the headset.

The Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth headset comes with two additional ear cushions that differ in size. You can choose anatomical features for your own, it does not fall out of the ear during movement. Under the ear cushion hides a speaker with a metal mesh.

The body is made of plastic. There is a white and black version of this headset. The coating is resistant to fingerprints.

Tests

Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth headset connects using Bluetooth 4.1 with A2DP support. Two smartphones can be connected to one headset at the same time. This procedure is carried out by serial connection, with shutdown after the first successful synchronization. In the future, when you turn on the headset, both phones will be connected.

With a weight of 6.5 grams, the headset works in standby mode for a week and about 5 hours of talk time. Charging takes approximately 2 hours.

Getting to grips with the controls is easy. Pressing the button once will answer or end a call. Double press - call the last subscriber. Long press - voice assistant.

There are no problems with conversations. Interlocutors hear the voice clearly. There is a noise reduction system. The volume is good. In Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth headset, you can also listen to music, but due to the lack of a pair, there will be no stereo and everything that happens around will be heard.

During the tests, we were unable to find the possibility of flashing this headset in order to get rid of the Chinese language. In Chinese, the numbers of incoming calls, notifications, charge level are announced. You can't turn it off either. If you know a way, please tell me in the comments.

Summary of Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth headset

Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth headset is a good choice if you are on a budget. Simple design, a pair of interchangeable ear pads, functionality, two colors to choose from, acceptable battery life, noise cancellation. You may not be satisfied with hints in Chinese. As an alternative, we recommend looking at

Finally, I was able to test the new Xiaomi full-size wireless headphones with support for the “correct” codec aptX.

Alas, today these are still rare: the age of the codec has not made it popular enough among developers, since it requires royalties in favor of Qualcomm who owns the development.

So u Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth Headphones (TDLYEJ01JY) also known as Mi Bluetooth Foldable Headset, there is every chance to become an excellent choice. Moreover, they are based on one of the most comfortable headphones.

And the price tag is humane. Let's see in more detail?

Everything new is well forgotten old

Xiaomi's new wireless headphones are nothing more than a restart of wired headphones. We wrote about them last year - a rather interesting model with an emphasis on stylish appearance and wearing comfort.

The wireless version has become more modest: bright light green, orange and white cases have been replaced by strict black ones. A white version also exists, but it will be quite difficult to find it.

In my opinion, it's even better. The white color is too easily soiled, and bright shades are the lot of teenagers. So unlike Mi Relaxed, the new Mi Bluetooth Headphones can be recommended to all ages.

Although at first glance, the novelty is a complete copy of the ancestor, in fact, the headphones have become a little more convenient.

The most comfortable Xiaomi headphones

Probably, a slightly lightweight design, a thinner temple and an updated material for the ear pads affect. Although you can feel it only by comparing 2 options on your own head.

This is a little strange, because unlike the progenitors, Mi Bluetooth Headphones received folding design and extra toppings.

I still consider the previous version of the headphones to be the most comfortable on-ear headphones in the price range up to 10 thousand rubles. And this despite the fact that the outside of the ambyuchur is cheap leatherette, and inside is simple foam rubber. The headband is exactly the same.

The wireless option is just as good. Very comfortable, very light - I was able to wear them all day without any discomfort. Unless the head sweats in the heat, but this is the trouble with all budget headphones of this type.

I think that everything is decided by the unique “suspension” mechanism located on the cup: the speaker and the ear pad are separated from the cup by a rubber gasket with 3 degrees of freedom. It allows the headphones to sit at the correct angle relative to the head, leaving a minimum of work for the foam rubber.

In fact, ear pads work only for soundproofing. Everything else is done by this flexible membrane, to which a metal mesh with a speaker is attached.

My use of Mi Relaxed (more precisely, my wife) for a year says that the materials are of high quality, wear during this time is minimal. So it turns out that it’s not premium materials that decide, but good ideas.

And at Xiaomi they really work. It's great when $50 headphones are more comfortable than $100.

When not to look for a button

Management is the same as in Mi Relaxed, tied to disguised as a cup fairing headphone button, which is used instead of the control button on the remote control in multimedia applications (start / pause) and for calls (accept / reject).

In addition, Mi Bluetooth Headphones have 2 buttons volume control, one of which is marked with a tangible dot. You won't miss.

The ergonomics are excellent. The hand even in complete darkness unmistakably hits this button. Slightly to the side - the second.

It’s too much to even talk about the button on the cup - it seems to be the coolest idea for the main control button on the headphones that I have come across.

Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth Headphones comfortable in everything. This is not oak for you Beats!

A little about the connection: aptX and all-all-all

These are Xiaomi's only true wireless over-ear headphones, so it's no surprise to find it fresh enough (for peripherals, of course) Bluetooth 4.1 and a complete collection of profiles: HFP/HSP/A2DP/AVRCP.

About availability aptX proudly reads the licensed logo. But in the specification on the box, this information was not taken out. Strange, isn't it?

The main feature of Xiaomi is connection to 3 sources at the same time. It does not work perfectly, although the connection is stable. The headphones hear the sound from the device on which the multimedia application was last launched.

At the same time, on devices under Windows / macOS / Linux, the volume swing changes the system volume, and on smartphones, it lives its own life.

The connection with the headphones is incredibly strong: music works even at a distance 10 meters from the source, and only a couple of reinforced concrete walls can become a real obstacle.

Sound test: wire vs Bluetooth

I don't like testing wireless headphones. What to expect from them? Even unique models with incredible price tags rarely sound at least half the price of their brothers. I don’t even renounce wired copies - if these are normal headphones, they will sound better.

ATTENTION. Do not forget that in overhead headphones, due to non-linear sound reflections, you can hear even more than on bookshelf acoustics. Therefore a good source and properly encoded music is a must.

However, there is something to be said for Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth Headphones. I did not like the sound of Mi Relaxed: flat, inexpressive, very simple. Next to Xiaomi “hybrids” and older overheads, they do not stand up to any comparison.

However, Mi Relaxed play better than Beats. Smoother, closer to the real recording. And Mi Bluetooth, even without activating aptX and with a streaming service as sources, is fatter, louder, brighter than the younger modification.

I tested them with ZTE Axon 7 and a patch for aptX HD on different recordings - from mp3 at 320 kbps (own rips) and Google Music to Flac and WAV without compression, after a direct rip from disk.

The verdict is logical and simple: aptX fundamentally changes the sound quality. Without it, Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth Headphones sound even, without coloring any ranges, barely highlighting the lower frequencies for a more pleasant listening experience.

When using aptX, headphones perceive a higher bitrate, so the same songs sound fatter and brighter. In addition, it turns out that Mi Bluetooth Headphones do an excellent job as monitor headphones.

Lows become bright, voluminous - but with a predominance of dry sound clarity. Averages are played in full with an emphasis on detail. The upper frequencies fit perfectly into the overall mix, beautifully decorating the sound.

Mi Bluetooth Headphones sound like good wired headphones in the corresponding price category. Therefore, I am writing this article in them.
