What new items should we expect at Apple's spring presentation? What to expect at the presentation of the new iPad? Hello HomePod, Apple's new speaker

The spring presentation of Apple products this year is expected in April. For the iPad, the presentation will be of particular importance, as an updated line of tablets will be released. Somewhat earlier it was assumed that the event would take place a month earlier. This is evidenced by information about the timing of the release of the 12.9-inch model in the company's retail stores, as well as the projected opening date of the Apple founder's conference room.

If the mentioned information turns out to be reliable, the event should be expected on April 4, and sales will start the next day. In favor of this particular day, the day of the week on which the date of its holding should fall is also evidenced. Indeed, in the traditions of the "apple" company, most of its events are held on Tuesdays. This has been happening for the past few years.

However, the above version also had opponents. They believe that any information about the delivery periods of devices changes from the date of orders of a certain outlet. For example, some Apple Stores promised to deliver the Pro model the day before the official launch, setting pickup options for April 3rd.

On the other hand, more than 90% of stores offer users to pick up the Pro model with a large display on April 5, which indirectly correlates with the plans of the company itself. The extreme popularity of this tablet among consumers does not allow us to correlate the product with the availability of the iPhone SE and iPhone 7.

All the events of the past year are behind us, and in the midst of spring 2017, Apple fans are looking forward to something new. The presentation of the iPad Pro and the presentation of the iPad Air 2 are events that start from day to day and make users around the world feel excited. Let's see what to expect from the iPhone and iPad this year.

iPhone 2017: Predictions

You can be almost 100% sure that the current year will bring us a brand new smartphone. That's just what will be his chips - in question. User opinions vary greatly. Some are waiting for cardinal improvements from S-ki, others - a completely new "eight".

Although, the vast majority tends to the last named point of view. And indeed - it's time to stop using the design of 3 years ago and invent something radically new. For the whole of last year, only the strips delimiting the antennas on the back were shifted on the device. The protruding camera element has also been slightly smoothed out. If nothing revolutionary happens, the firm will have to work hard so that sales do not decline.

No one expects amazing subtlety from the device, nor does it require cutting a couple of millimeters of the case. The consumer hopes for a spectacular "appearance" and improved technologies - for example, a fast or wireless accessory for recharging. If the gadget had an OLED display, it would also be nice.

We will not see any other models this year. The SE variant is fine even today. For another 3-4 years, it will remain at the peak of popularity, delighting the consumer with its low cost.

iPad 2017: expectations

Sources that can be trusted report the release of 3 new tablets this year at once. The largest model will be improved in terms of technology and brought to the usual one.

A display with a wider color gamut and True Tone is also expected. Surely there will be a 12 megapixel camera and a flash in a newer model.

From the "small" tablets are expected to have support for a pencil and a keyboard element. Perhaps the developer will update the "stuffing".

It's hard to say what will please the version with a 9.7-inch display. Perhaps 3D-Touch will appear there, the experience of introducing which has proven itself well on iPhones. There is an assumption that the average model will not receive anything new at all.

New tablets may come out late

More recently, gossip about the update of "apple" tablets in March of this year have become more active. Including, many stubbornly insist that a 10.5-inch model will be released. However, today we can dispel these rumors with 100% certainty.

According to a number of serious publications, the new 9.7-inch tablet will go into mass production in the first quarter, and large versions only in the second. Based on this, it can be argued that the presentation can take place even in the second half of this year.

However, all experts agree that a 10.5-inch tablet will be presented first. It will replace the current 9.7-inch model, but will be sold at a lower price. This will help the Apple company achieve a reduction in the average cost of its products, which is very important in a crisis and will contribute to the growth of customer loyalty.

All older tablets will operate under the direction of A10. The 10-inch model will come with a bezel-less display and a Home element placed in the screen.

3D display: speculation or reality?

It is expected that the new generation of tablets will be equipped with 3D technology. At least, such rumors are circulating among Hollywood figures, and also come from some Apple partners.

The updated display promises to be simply fabulous. That's why the biggest Hollywood studios are already busily working on 3D-type content that can be used during a new product show.

However, it is pointless to state something 100% yet. The information is not confirmed by anything and so far can only relate to rumors. However, the "apple" company has been exploring this type of technology for a long time - and this is a fact. At the same time, not a single technology has a traditional format familiar to users on television. For example, there is one that monitors the position of the user's head.

"Smart" accessories from Apple in 2017

Not only devices will be improved this year. Additions to vehicles will also receive updates.

The emergence of innovative acoustics is expected, with embedded support for an assistant with the voice of Siri. It will allow users to receive answers to their requests without watches and smartphones.

Thanks to the support of technology, users will be able to command devices through the issuance of orders by voice. In addition, the assistant can delegate the function of searching for information on the network.

The user will be able to listen to music tracks, control household appliances, garage doors and much more.

There was no official presentation of Apple in March 2017. But that doesn't mean the company has skipped updating some product lines. As expected, the tech giant released several new products, and for this it was not necessary to hold a separate event. Right now we will introduce you to all the changes and innovations. Apple product update in March: results

Especially for those readers who value their time and do not have the opportunity to view all the news of it resources, we publish a short but informative list of all the changes and a video showing all the new products that Apple launched in March 2017.

What's new?

  • Inch output instead of iPad Air. Price from 24 990 rubles.
  • Launch.
  • The iPad mini 4 32 GB has been discontinued and replaced by a 128 GB model at a price of 29,990 rubles.
  • Launch of an updated collection of straps for Apple Watch. Nike Sport straps are now sold separately.
  • iPhone SE is now available in 32GB and 128GB versions instead of 16GB and 64GB. The price of the smartphone has not changed.
  • Apple has announced a new Clips app for creating expressive videos. Launch as soon as possible.
  • The free Swift Playgrounds app gets support for 5 new languages, MapKit and more.
  • iPhone 7 silicone and leather cases are now available in six new colors.
  • Apple has discontinued the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini.

Finally officially confirmed the date of the presentation of the new iPhone 8. The gala event will take place on Thursday, September 12, and for the first time will be held at the new Apple Park campus, namely the convention center that can accommodate a thousand people and is called "theater".

Invitations to the presentation have already been sent to representatives of specialized publications, who shared the postcards on their social networks. They are made in a minimalist style and share a minimum of information.

Apple Official Invitation

On the invitation there is a well-known "apple" logo, as well as the phrase: "Meet me at our house. We invite you to the first event at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino. September 12, 2017 at 10 am.

Apple fans immediately began to look for hidden meaning in the card, as well as hints of what awaits them at the presentation.

Cook's presidency, credit card and spoilers

The most speculative cause is the three-color Apple logo on the postcard. It includes white, blue and red colors. Portal Mashable joked that the chosen tricolor reflects the company's desire to produce its devices "at home" in the United States of America.

Earlier it became known that Apple is preparing to introduce three iPhone models at once - the new "anniversary" iPhone 8 and two improved iPhone 7, first introduced last year. Confirmation of this rumor was seen in the invitation by journalist Joanna Stern, who saw the outlines of three smartphones in multi-colored silhouettes inside the “apple”.

Indeed, the white spot on the right is somewhat reminiscent of the iPhone, as well as any other rectangular object with rounded edges. Last week it became known that the iPhone 8 will cost users $ 1 thousand, so the user @BagnoliMD decided that the logo calls for preparing money for the purchase in advance.

There are those who did not dwell on just one version and considered as many as six important messages in the invitation. @tylerschnabel believes that the logo contains a nod to the shape of the iPhone 8, the new white color of the gadget, as well as confirmation of the rumor that the new device will have wireless charging.

Other Twitter users decided to find confirmation of the old rumors. One of them turned to color theory and from the first letters of the names (Orange, Light Blue, Ecru and Dark Blue) formed the word OLED, which may indicate that the iPhone 8 will receive a high-definition organic light-emitting diode display.

There were some crazy theories out there as well. Continuing the theme of the colors of the American flag, some users have decided that the head of Apple is going to run for US President in 2020. It would be interesting to watch his confrontation with the head of Facebook, who is also rumored to someday qualify for a high post.

User @iamrohit_a decided that iPhones and other Apple devices had nothing to do with it, and the invitation from the Cupertians contains spoilers for the upcoming season of the Game of Thrones series, including a grandiose battle between two dragons.

What to expect from the event

After the presentation in 2016 in a hall with a capacity of 7 thousand people, this year's Apple event looks more modest, but clearly emphasizes the exclusivity of the moment. At the moment, one can only guess what exactly Tim Cook's company will present, but most experts agree that in addition to the three new iPhones, a new model of smart Apple Watch will also be presented.

It is likely that the event will also announce the date of the start of sales of the HomePod speaker with built-in Siri voice assistant and the launch of the new iOS 11 operating system. The announcement of the Apple TV set-top box is also possible.

Of course, most of all fans of Apple products are waiting for the new iPhone. The legendary smartphone turns 10 this year, so you should expect something truly revolutionary. According to rumors, the iPhone 8 will have a face scanner and “recognize” its owner, charge wirelessly, and also come with an augmented reality headset.

Welcome to our guide to Apple events! Here we assume when new Apple devices will be released. In short, at the time of writing, we believe that the company will present something new at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (). The conference will start on June 5, 2017.

We all love good Apple parties: lots of guesswork, cryptic invitations, nice music, good old Tim Cook and, finally, a whole bunch of new inventions. But if we knew when such events would be, we could plan both the schedule and the budget.

Luckily for us, Apple's gray-haired pundits from Macworld shared their experiences. With their help, we've been able to compile a detailed - though not infallible - guide to Apple events.

Apple Annual Cycle

Sometimes Apple releases a new product so unexpectedly that it literally hits users on the head. But usually the company has a perfectly recognizable pattern.

There are certain points on the company's event calendar that you can navigate. Here is a list of events that almost always take place every year.

March/April: Spring

This is the first episode since Christmas that Apple is back in the spotlight. In the spring, Apple usually introduces computers and smartphones to the public, although it sometimes happened that important updates for iOS were released in the spring.

In 2015, Apple held an event dubbed "Spring Forward" on March 9, during which the price and release date of the first Apple Watch, as well as the first 12-inch MacBook, were announced. On March 21, 2016, during the event called "Let us loop you in", the iPad Pro 9.7 was also presented. Also released iOS 9.3.

In the spring of 2017, Apple fans were disappointed: instead of a full-fledged holiday, the company quietly closed its online store, and then sent out announcing the release of the iPad 2017 and iPhone 7 in red.

It looks like there will be no more announcements in the spring, so we can only wait for the next spring event in March or April 2018.

June: Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC)

This event focuses on news from the software world. There, Apple usually talks about planned updates for existing operating systems. This is done so that the company's partners can adapt their software to work with updated systems.

At WWDC 2016, Apple announced macOS Sierra and iOS 10, and released beta versions of both systems. Ready-made versions appeared only in the fall, but after the conference, the public had a chance to see the changes for the first time.

Sometimes Apple announces the release of new devices in the same place. For example, the famous Mac Pro-"bucket" was first presented to the public at WWDC-2013.

Apple's biggest event in September is just around the corner, so what will the company be showing? Presentation 2017 September, what will be released new? We wrote all the rumors on September 12th.

Leaks and rumors have generously informed us that we will see three new iPhones: 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, a gradual upgrade to the current iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, and an all-new iPhone X, an all-new, smaller design that will leave the good old scanner fingerprint in favor of the new 3D facial recognition system. The iPhone X (the pronunciation could be iPhone Ten, the same as Mac OS X is pronounced Mac OS Ten) is also expected to be a truly luxurious device with a starting price of $1,000.

But because Apple is an iPhone-centric company, there's more to its history than just hardware. There will be one more thing in the form of a new Apple Watch Series 3 announcement that will be about incremental improvement rather than a global update. This new watch is expected to connect to LTE so it can be more independent and self-sufficient when you're out cycling, running or swimming and don't want or can't take your phone with you. So, let's remember everything we expect from Apple on September 12th.

Apple's iPhone X will be the star of the show, but it alone will be very limited in terms of availability.

Here are 10 new iPhone X features:

  1. New, dimensionless design
  2. Glass back and front, metal frame
  3. 5.8 inch OLED display with 2.17:1 aspect ratio
  4. "Notch" cutout, interface adapted to it
  5. 3D Face Unlock, no Touch ID fingerprint reader
  6. Apple A11 system chip, 3GB RAM
  7. Improved Dual Pixel Camera, Improved Portrait Mode
  8. Support wireless charging
  9. Additional memory: base model 128 GB
  10. A thousand dollar price

The big change will be centered around the new display, so let's take a closer look at this new screen: a 5.8-inch OLED display with a very tall and narrow aspect ratio of 2.17 to 1. It's the first OLED screen in an iPhone, and it's interesting because the technology is very different from LCD. Instead of using a separate backlight for the entire screen, each individual pixel on an OLED display can be turned on and off, resulting in perfect blacks and much higher contrasts, as well as punchy, visually impressive colors and great viewing angles. A common problem with shadow artifacts that can appear after a few months of use on an OLED screen has also been resolved by Apple. And this new cutout will contain the camera and all the advanced facial recognition sensors you need.

Speaking of face recognition, the technology is expected to be much faster and more accurate than the iris scanning currently used on Android phones like Samsung. What testifies to the level of accuracy is that the new 3D face scan will even be used to authenticate payments, Apple is confident in its unbreakable security.

All this and more will come in the form of the iPhone X, the tenth anniversary of the iPhone. It's a luxury, a thousand dollar price tag, but it's sure to scare a lot of buyers, which is why Apple also has...

Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus: review, price, features

Leaked as a gradual upgrade from the current iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, the other two new iPhones are now called iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. Why not "iPhone 7s and 7s Plus"? Good point: the reason could be that they will also carry the new iPhone X design in part, and we mean glass back, not screenless. The glass back will also provide support for wireless charging on these two phones. More about.

Here, the list of supported features will include the new Apple A11 system chip with 2GB of RAM on the iPhone 8 and 3GB of RAM on the iPhone 8 Plus. The main difference between the two will remain screen size, with a 4.7-inch screen on the iPhone 8 and a 5.5-inch screen on the iPhone 8 Plus. Also the camera, as the dual camera with portrait mode support will only be present on the iPhone 8 Plus.

Right now, we're looking into the possibility that there will be four color options for the iPhone X, rather than three as originally expected. That is, if the video found at the top of the story is legal. Will red be one of the best color choices for the iPhone X? As we told you this morning, the Gold model can be hard to find when the tenth anniversary iPhone model is officially launched. This is rumored to take place on September 22nd. Pre-orders are expected to start on September 15th. Everyone will see because the presentation of Apple 2017 September 12, already tomorrow!

So far, we've seen dummy iPhone X models in white, gold, and black. However, a new video discovered today indicates that there may be a red version of the premium tenth anniversary iPhone. The video appears to have been filmed inside the cabin. Tomorrow is going to be a big day, of course, as the most anticipated iPhone model for years is finally being rolled out by Apple after months of rumors and leaks.

Memory iPhone X iPhone 8 iPhone 8 Plus
64GB $ 1000 $ 650 $ 770
128GB $ 1 100 $ 750 $ 870
256GB $ 1200 $ 850 $ 970

Apple Presentation 2017 September - iOS 11 and ARKit

Much of Apple's DNA in innovation is in software, and iOS 11 is a prime example of that. The latest version of iOS features a completely redesigned Control Center with much better toggles and sliders for easier control. It's also for the iPad device, adding a dock for better multitasking. See: New and macOS Sierra for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

But the feature that most people are talking about is, of course, ARKit. A simple software update will allow the iPhone 6s, iPhone SE, and all subsequent iPhones to support augmented reality. We have already seen the initial implementations of ARKit: it is used to quickly and accurately measure distances. It's used for furniture placement and how it will scale and look like in your room (there's even an IKEA app with ARKit support). Some really futuristic implementations, such as sound tracking in space. We are waiting for the details because the presentation of Apple 2017 September 12, already tomorrow!

Apple Presentation 2017 September - Apple Watch Series 3

The new Apple Watch Series 3 will be another major new gadget unveiled at the event.

Series 3 will add 4G LTE connectivity to the watch, so you can do more on the watch without having to have your phone.

The only thing that is unlikely to be supported is phone calls on the watch regardless of the iPhone (and that's a bummer). For everything else, you should receive social media notifications without a tethered iPhone.

In terms of design, the initial rumors of a complete change in form factor have been put to rest and now we are likely to see the familiar rectangular body evolved. We also hope to see improved battery life in the third Apple Watch series.

Apple Presentation 2017 September - HomePod

Apple introduced in June this year the HomePod Siri speaker, but we don't know much about the release date of this speaker. More:: Price, specifications, release date.

We know that the Apple HomePod will deliver superior sound quality and become a music product. Which is said to outperform popular wireless speakers like the Sonos series.

We'll likely find out about HomePod availability and features soon.

Apple Presentation 2017 September - Apple TV with 4K

Last but not least, the Apple TV project is moving forward with a much needed step forward: the 4K Apple TV.

The company has previously stated that it believes apps are the future of TV, so we're curious to see how it's moving in that direction, and the introduction of crisp 4K resolutions is certainly another positive development. Don't miss it, because the presentation of Apple 2017 September 12, already tomorrow!
