Getting Root ZTE Blade L3. Firmware ZTE Blade L3 Firmware zte l3

Released at the beginning of 2015, the 5-inch smartphone from ZTE immediately took a confident place in the budget gadget market. A bright IPS matrix, 8 GB of internal memory and a sensitive 8-megapixel camera with autofocus have become a clear advantage of the new product among competing devices in the same price category.

Since Chinese brands only occasionally provide full support for the latest versions of Android for their gadgets, the ZTE Blade L3 firmware is entirely the responsibility of the users themselves.

First of all, you need to determine the revision of your smartphone, to do this, remove the cover of the device and look at the bottom of the battery. In the middle of the letter set it will be indicated:

  • “V1.0” – first revision;
  • “V2.0” – second revision.

However, there is also a European revision (single-frame), which can be determined by the display resolution: in this version it is 854 by 480 pixels. You can check the value in any benchmark application.

Updating Android firmware on your phone

After downloading the firmware file (let’s look at the example of the latest official version of Cyanogen 13 for the first, second and European revisions), move the downloaded “.zip” archive to the root of the phone’s memory or SD card.

The need for ZTE Blade L3 firmware arises quite often. The fact is that the standard Chinese software platform is usually buggy, and it is not very convenient to use due to the presence of only two standard languages - English and Chinese. Therefore, so that the operation of the ZTE phone does not create discomfort, it is recommended to change the firmware yourself immediately after purchasing it. Of course, there are service centers offering flashing services, but why would you pay for something you can do yourself?

Today we will talk about how to change the software on the ZTE Blade L3.

Please note: the instructions are only suitable for official firmware. Any downloaded custom firmware file will be installed only by custom recovery. We will consider installing custom recovery and firmware in the following articles.

Getting the phone ready

Installing new firmware involves completely deleting all data from the smartphone. Therefore, it is imperative to backup all data so as not to lose it. It is best to save the backup file on an alternative medium - a computer or flash drive.

Also charge the gadget at least 30%. It would be optimal to charge it to 100%. This is important because the process of changing the software will continue for some time and the smartphone will need energy to complete it successfully.

Firmware via FlashTool

One of the most popular ways to install new software on Android phones is to use the program. It needs to be installed and launched on your computer by connecting your mobile gadget to your PC via USB.

In this program we indicate the path to the firmware file, which we download first from the official website. It downloads in the archive; for FlashTool you need to extract the files from it to a folder on drive C without Russian characters.

After selecting the scatter file in the folder, select Download Only (1) and uncheck Preloader (2), as in the screenshot above. Then press Download, flash your smartphone, and after a few minutes you can already disconnect it, turn it on and configure it.

Firmware via recovery

If the method described above does not suit you for some reason, flash your ZTE mobile device directly through recovery. In this case, the firmware file must be downloaded to the SD memory card. We download it, as in the first option, via a computer, and then upload it to the card. After that, insert it into the phone and boot into recovery mode. This is done as usual by simultaneously pressing the volume + and power keys.

As you know, flashing the firmware deletes all data from the phone, but we advise you to make a full backup of your data before starting it and manually perform a complete reset of all settings. This will protect you from sudden glitches that happen if new software is installed directly on top of the old one.

When the data reset is finished, select the option to update the software platform, indicate to the system the path to the file on the memory card and start the process. All you have to do is wait until the installation completion message appears on the screen and start setting up your phone with the updated software.

How to update the software?

We provide you with different ways to update the software, namely: update using a memory card or update over the air.

To update over the air, you need to connect to a Wi-Fi wireless network or GSM Internet connection and check for updates in the settings.

What should I do if the operating time of the device does not coincide with the operating time declared by the manufacturer?

A smartphone is a complex electronic device that includes the functions of a pocket computer and a cell phone and consumes a large amount of energy to operate these functions. The main amount of energy is spent on the operation of the display module and the GSM transmitting and receiving path. The display brightness is automatically set to maximum in a very bright environment (sunny day) or set manually by the user. Maximum brightness consumes maximum energy. When GSM is operating and with stable and stable reception “at maximum”, the device consumes a minimum amount of energy to maintain communication. If the network signal is unstable and weak, the device requires more power to maintain communication. In the case of “Network Search” in an area where there is no network, the device consumes the maximum amount of energy, which is spent on searching for nearby base stations. To reduce your phone's energy consumption you need to:

1. Disable GPS if not required.

2. Disable mobile Internet if not needed.

3. Disable or remove unnecessary unused applications, because they are in an active state and consume the internal resources of the device.

What should you do if your phone freezes, won’t turn on, or reboots?

The cause of rebooting or freezing in most cases is third-party software or programs.

1. Initially, we recommend that you restore the default factory settings (after saving the information you need). If the phone turns on, select the "factory reset" option from the device menu. If the device does not turn on, turn on the device in "Recovery mode" and select "wipe data/factory reset". The method for entering “Recovery mode” is described below in the paragraph “How to enter Recovery mode?”.

To stop the distribution, uncheck the USB modem or simply disconnect the cable connection.

2. WiFi router - make sure you have a stable Internet connection via a mobile network or USB. "Settings->Wireless networks->More" Modem mode - check the "WiFI access point" box. To secure your wireless connection, tap the hotspot icon and then tap WiFi Hotspot. In this menu you can set a name and password for your wireless WiFi connection. Your phone will start working as a WiFi router. To stop distribution, uncheck "WiFi router"

How can I quickly see the charging status?

During charging, press the power button. The battery charge status will be shown on the main screen of the phone.

Why is the amount of free memory on the device less than stated by the manufacturer?

Unlike the processor, which has its own built-in memory, other devices, such as a video processor, audio processor and other devices included in the elemental base of the device’s central board, consume user memory resources. A certain amount of memory is reserved in advance for internal needs, but in case of overflow, user memory is used.

For those who have just become a beginner or are not an expert in the vast world of Android and are not particularly familiar with the concept of how - root android, as well as why it is needed, what can be done after obtaining Root rights, or how to subsequently get rid of them if they are no longer needed, all this can be found in the detailed article -!

First of all!

There are no "left" links or unnecessary actions in this article! If you really need Root Rights, then read carefully and follow step by step, this is a guarantee that you will do everything right! This article on obtaining Root rights is divided into two parts: The first part is Required components and conditions, the second part is Instructions How to get root rights using the received files and programs. If, in the process of obtaining root rights, Android constantly reboots or is in the process of eternal loading (happens extremely rarely, but still), then it’s worth it. Now let's start getting Root rights!

Android manufacturers sometimes release new firmware on which you cannot get Root using one of the suggested methods. If the article contains alternative methods, try them. Doesn't work anyway? Indicate the Android version and firmware version in the comments (don't write angry, shitty comments, it won't do you any good, or anyone else). Android is frozen (will not load), read and re-read from the very FIRST PARAGRAPH, all the necessary links are present in the article!
