YouTube account has been deleted, what should I do? How to delete a YouTube channel and restore it after deletion Restore the server on YouTube

Taschemta, in short (for those in a hurry), my Youtube channel was banned, blocked and deleted, but I was able to restore it in seven days. True, I never learned how to turn water into wine.

Now the whole story, for those who are interested in this topic.

Since mid-summer, there have been two strikes on the channel based on community principles. Therefore, since then I have behaved very carefully, double-checked all videos for collections for authorship, deleted music if there was any, and so on. It was not possible to completely avoid overlaps with third-party content, but I tried to reduce them to a minimum. This yielded some results; at the time of the ban, with 120K views per day (of which more than half were monetized by third-party media networks, and not by me), the channel brought in ~$40.

After more than a year of working with YouTube, I somehow became calloused, cut down and no longer nervous about coincidences and other crap. I didn’t break any rules, didn’t spam, didn’t cheat. Subscribers grew, comments poured in, likes were given. One large Chinese store even sent me some kind of action camera for free (its price was ~$90) for review, since the channel is associated with failures, and this could be a good thing.

Thunder thundered among a slightly unclear, but relatively clear, blue sky with clouds.

Two letters arrived in the mail:

1. Notification of Youtube account. Due to repeated or serious violations of our Community Guidelines, your YouTube account has been suspended. The review showed that you violated the community guidelines. Spam, deception and fraud are not allowed on our website. Please note that you are prohibited from logging into any other YouTube account or creating a new one.

2. Your Youtube account has been deleted. Members of the YouTube community have reported your content. Since we have verified that the complaints are valid, we have removed the following "***" videos. YouTube has anti-spam mechanisms in place. This is your third warning in six months. Your account is blocked and you cannot create new ones.

I looked at YouTube and, indeed, my channel was taken down. Although others were functioning. I couldn’t even enter the banned channel, it simply became inactive. I immediately began to act in three directions in order to quickly restore the channel, since I was completely confident that I was right. All accusations of spam, fraud, etc. were unfounded, because the deleted video was simply as white and fluffy as possible. Probably the most innocent and boring selection of all that was posted on the channel. Naturally, there was no talk of overspam in the title, description and tags; the channel had long since outgrown these methods.

To restore and unblock the channel, I acted in three directions:

1. Letter to [email protected] (on two languages).
2. Letter on Google account recovery form ( in Russian, twice).
3. Letter to partner support ( in Russian).

What came of it?

1. The standard robot answered. Your letter has been received, we will consider it, blablabla. Then there is silence.

2. The answer came quite quickly. And the answer said: “ Thank you for your message. We have received your objection. Your account will remain locked in accordance with our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service».

3. The Russian-speaking support answered me and started chasing me around in circles with standard replies. There was a dialogue in emails that, in a nutshell, went something like this:

Hello, I was banned, this is a mistake, restore the channel.
- Hello! You were banned due to community guidelines, here are the videos for which you were banned.
- Hello, I know why I was banned, but the last video for which I got a strike doesn’t violate anything, check it, dude!
- Hello! You can appeal a banned video using the appropriate form.
- Hi, I can't use the form because it's inside a channel, and I can't access the channel because the channel is disabled.
- Hello! Then use the Google account recovery form.
- Hi, I used this form, but they don’t want to restore the account because of a blocked video that was blocked by mistake and that no one wants to check manually!
- Unfortunately, I can’t help you anymore.

Fucked up. This correspondence took five days, in the end I broke my face with a facepalm and sent another letter using the account recovery form, but received exactly the same answer about “will remain blocked.”

Then I suddenly remembered that YouTube has different supports in different languages. The server simply determines the language of the letter and redirects it to the appropriate support. Lord, I'm a simple genius! Therefore, I used the same form, but in English (changing the interface language and writing a request for unlocking in English).

And, lo and behold, the channel was unbanned:

Hi there,
We have re-reviewed the circumstances of your suspension and have concluded it is appropriate to reinstate your account. This means your account is once again active and operational.

But that wasn't the end of the story. It's a funny situation. As I said at the beginning of the post, there were two strikes on the channel. He was banned on the third strike, and when he was unbanned, I didn’t see him, the panel still showed two violations. But for some reason, from now on I couldn't add any new videos. I had to contact English-speaking support again, only this time not for unbanning accounts, but for supporting Youtube partners. It was a long act of love in letters with some Jose, who also (as a Russian-speaking colleague) tried to bombard me with links to YouTube rules, but it all ended on the spot when I showed a screenshot of the channel status from the office, where there were two strikes, and a third there was no trace of it. Only then Jose corrected himself, finally did his job, for which he was paid, and I got a full-fledged channel back.

Bottom line.

Naturally, all the videos from the channel flew off their positions. Naturally, during these seven days, approximately 2K subscribers unsubscribed from the channel. Plus, what’s unnatural is that the very video that caused the ban remained deleted with the wording “Inappropriate content.” At the same time, as I already said, there are no strikes for him. I didn’t file an appeal out of harm’s way, but simply deleted the video. Plus there were several musical matches. I don’t know what this is connected with, it’s possible that when a channel is deleted, there is some kind of disconnect from the affiliate that protects you for your music... In short, I didn’t get the point. It’s unlikely that this coincided just like that.

The conclusions can be made simple - never give up, look for ways. No one is 100% immune from a strike on Youtube, there are essentially no rules. And, of course, I don’t want to say anything bad about the cocksuckers from the Russian-speaking support.

P.S. Cool joke, off you go. When you contact Russian-speaking support, the robot tells you that the letter has been received and will be answered within 2 working days. When you write to English-speaking support, the robot writes that the answer will be given within 1st working day. Sanctions, apparently.

In this post, we will look at how to recover your YouTube account after deleting it. Just a quick terminology point before we get into this post. There is a difference between a YouTube account being deleted and a YouTube account being terminated.

Deleted account is something you did yourself, either purposefully or accidentally, you told YouTube or Google to get rid of your YouTube account and its associated data.

Closed account is something YouTube blocks access to because either you violated their rules or they think you did.

There are several ways to recover a deleted account:

  1. You deleted your YouTube account directly. The most obvious way to delete a YouTube account.
  2. You have deleted your Google+ profile, which was associated with your YouTube account.
  3. You have deleted your Google account together with all related products and services.

Before you start, you should not get your hopes up too much as there is no surefire way that you can get all your information back. And this is not Google's fault, nor their problem.

If you ask to delete your channel or profile, they must comply and delete it. Imagine the backlash that would result in them keeping all the information for years after people asked to delete it.

Now we have bad news, it's time to learn how to do something about it.

You deleted your YouTube account directly

Either you somehow accidentally made your way through YouTube's settings, ignoring their warnings, or rather, you deliberately deleted the account and are now regretting it.

The key to getting your account back is speed because at some point the data will be lost forever.

Google doesn't give a set time for your YouTube account to expire, so there probably isn't one time frame for all accounts.

You need to go to and fill out the form, it's quick, you just need the email address you use to log into YouTube, your name and something for them to identify your channel, either a URL or a video from your channel or other identifier.

Just this little form to get your channel back

You have deleted the Google+ account associated with your YouTube account.

Hooray! In terms of the scale of what could happen, it's not that bad. Your account has not been deleted, it is technically disabled.

Most of your stuff is still there, just private and with limited functionality.

Your comments and messages will disappear, but considering how bad the other scenarios in this article are, you should still consider yourself lucky.

View the help page about . Follow the instructions in the bottom drop-down to delete your Google+ profile. Please note that this will also restore your Google+ profile.

You have deleted your entire Google account

This is a common mistake for people who want to delete their google+ account and then accidentally delete their entire Google account along with all the products and services associated with it.

The only slight relief is that the chances are better if it's a fluke, you'll know what you've done pretty soon once you try to access Gmail, Docs, or another frequently used product associated with your account.

You can't just recover your YouTube channel, you need to recover your entire account first.

Again, just like with a deleted YouTube account, time is of the essence. You can't expect Google to keep all your data forever.

To recover your Google account and select "I'm having other problems signing in." Follow the instructions and fill out the form.

Once you get your account back, hopefully you should get your YouTube account back automatically without any extra effort on your part.

Otherwise, you'll have to follow the steps above in the "You deleted your YouTube account directly" section and hope that they can restore it.

How to restore a YouTube channel?

There are also newbies among video bloggers who don’t even think about possible problems and calmly delete all videos from their computer that are uploaded to video hosting. This is strictly forbidden, as it is quite possible that you will lose all content forever.

How to restore a YouTube channel? If you accidentally deleted your Google account, you can restore it along with your channel within some time.

If the channel was deleted through the settings, then you won't be able to get it back. Therefore, you should always make backup copies and store them in several places at once.

YouTube channel backup

There are no programs that automatically make backups of channels, so you will have to do it manually. Some bloggers don’t want to bother and simply duplicate all posts on the second channel, however, this is prohibited.

If the main channel is blocked, then the second one can be closed immediately. Plus, copies of videos have a negative impact on promotion, or because of this, the site may be closed.

Owners of popular channels even rent servers to safely store data. Alternatively, you can use cloud storage.

They give 15 GB for free. each user. You can also use memory on and . Even if this volume is not enough, you can always buy additional space (Google has the lowest prices).

How to quickly copy all videos from YouTube?

All Google users have access to a special tool for saving data from additional services.

At the moment we are talking specifically about backups from YouTube, so we select only this service and click “Next”. At the next step, you will be asked to select the format of the downloaded files (choose ZIP) and the receiving method (whichever is more convenient for you):

Please note that you can select "Via Google Drive". Every vlogger should use this feature. By systematically saving all files in cloud storage, you protect your channel from accidental losses.

The YouTube administration has blocked channels more than once for strange reasons, and their owners then experienced serious difficulties, since they did not make copies in a timely manner and deleted all their works from the computer.

But even if the videos are copied, problems arise when the channel is closed, because the site was promoted, but you have to start from scratch.
