Creating the portal itself to the city is not technically difficult, but the extraction of resources itself will require some time. The first thing you need to do is, of course, find a village.

We will move not from house to city, but through hell, using the portal to hell. The portal itself consists of obsidian, which can be found either very deep in the mine, or you can make it yourself by combining lava and water.

The second option may not work out because if you connect it incorrectly, you may end up with a cobblestone.

It is more profitable to go to the mine and find ready-made obsidian. But you won’t be able to get it that easily because each ore requires its own pickaxe. For iron ore you need a stone pickaxe, for gold and diamond - an iron one. Obsidian also counts as an ore, but drops as a block. In order to break this block you need a diamond pickaxe. At the beginning of the game it will be difficult to get diamonds, especially obsidian.

To build the portal you will need 14 blocks. The size of the portal is 5 blocks high and 4 blocks wide. It is built vertically.

To make it work you need to set it on fire with a lighter. It is created from iron and gravel. After creation, simply click on the portal and it will work. If you enter it, you can find yourself in hell.

But in order to move between the village and our house, we will have to build the same portal in the city.

It turns out that after we have built all this, 2 portals will connect in one world. That is, to get into the city, you need to first enter hell from your portal in the house. And immediately get out of it, but it will take us not home, but to the village. There is, of course, one caveat... After we leave the portal already in the city, we will not be able to return home from it. If we enter it again, we will end up in hell and leave, but appear again in the city.

Whichever portal we create first, we will constantly appear in. You can do the same with the portal at the end of the world. Make 2 portals in one world to move between them. This portal is created a little differently. Firstly, it is built horizontally. A hole is made 2 by 2 blocks and filled with water. You need to plant any flowers, seedlings, or mushrooms around. Just like for the portal to hell, this also needs a “lever” that will launch it. For this to work, you need to throw 1 diamond into the water, lightning will strike the portal.

This is considered the end of the game. After this, when you enter this world and return back, you will find yourself in a city. In this way, you can create a whole network of portals between different villages. Or use the command block and use commands to configure any portal to any coordinates.

The second is a portal to the lower world, or as players like to call it, Hell. It is quite easy to build, even at the initial stage of development. To do this you will need fourteen blocks of obsidian for a full structure or ten for an economical version, it also requires fire from a lighter, a fire arrow or a fireball from a ghast. It is built from five blocks in height and four in width, and you need to light it in the center of this frame, after which you will have six portal blocks. But if you don't have a diamond pickaxe to mine obsidian, there is an alternative way to build it. To do this, you need ten buckets of lava, two buckets of water and a wall near which we will build a portal. We knock out a hole two by one and one deep at a height of five blocks from the surface. Pour two buckets of water into this hole. Next, we take up the lava, first pour a bucket onto each place next to the orange wool, you should get obsidian there. We will do the same first with the two lower blocks, and only then with the upper ones. Then you remove the water, and you can light the portal. But the game will really become interesting after installing the modifications. In addition to Hell and End, you may have many unique locations. Portals to these worlds are built according to the same principle as the previous ones, with the only difference being that their construction will require their own unique blocks that will add modifications. As of version 1.9, players have two ways to create movement. Previously, such a mechanism required redstone. After the version you can do without it.

Making a portal using redstone

This the method is suitable for all versions. First of all, we need a command block and creative mode (since the command block can only be controlled in creative mode). You can get it by running the command

/give @p command_block
(before this write /gamemode 1)

The /give command is responsible for issuing items. The @p parameter specifies that this command should only be used on the closest player. Since we are entering this command, the closest player to us will be ourselves. command_block — block name. I took it from the page where all the item ids are written.

A command block appears in the inventory. Now we have to find two points. 1 - where we will teleport from. 2 - where we will teleport. I marked these positions with diamond blocks.

I recommend writing down the values, because they will be useful to us later. How to find out the coordinates of blocks? Press F3 and you will see information about the game. Write down the values from the XYZ row, rounding down the values. Fine. We are all ready to create the portal. Now we need to build the mechanism. I won’t describe it in detail, but just show you a screenshot. It's not difficult to do such a thing.

For construction we will need:

Command block;
Redstone - 2 pcs;
Any block;
Red torch;
Repeater.

We build what is shown in the screenshot:

Now right-click on the command block. An editing window should open. In chapter " console command» enter the following command:

/tp @p x y z

Replace the question marks in square brackets with your values (the coordinates of the block from which we will teleport). After the square brackets, instead of x, y, z, enter the coordinates of the point where we will move. I got it like this:

/tp @p 67 67 36

You cannot put a space between @p and square brackets!

What does this team do?

Using the /tp command we create our own portal. Note that we did this without mods! Fine. I’ll describe in detail what and how.

/tp - set the command that will be executed.
@p - sounds like " select the nearest player«.
- this refers to the @p parameter. Those. we tell the console " choose the closest player who is at coordinates x=71,y=67,z=40. Radius 1 (r=1)". If we specified r=3, then the search for the player would be carried out at a distance from 0 to 3 blocks from the specified coordinates.

That's all. We've made the move! Now stand on the first block and you will be teleported! You can also decorate the teleporter to add atmosphere to the game.

Portal without redstone

Now I will tell you how you can make a portal without redstone. Valid only for version 1.9 and higher!

Place the command block (can be placed anywhere);

How and where to use such portals?

The most important thing here is to turn on your imagination. You can make a portal to the city from your home. In this case, you won’t have to run long to the villagers to bargain with them. You can use the mechanism on servers instead of warps. I like to build a lot of teleporters at home, and then when I find a village, I write down its coordinates. Upon returning home, I teleport to the village I found. Unfortunately, you won't be able to travel to other dimensions this way. For example, in the land of ender and the like. But you can do or to visit new places. The first teleport is built into the game and can be done without problems, but in order to move to heaven, you will need to install additional ones.
